Agreed.

Between he and the two chucklefricks in the both constantly talking it’s difficult to know what is actually going on in the game.

He’s solid at basketball.
I don’t really listen to him in football
But baseball is not good

So don’t. Use something alternate or just don’t listen.

Bring T-Bob back from Chicago if you all want excitement calling the games. However, most of the broadcast would be bleeped out :)

that he made lots of gaffes

I want your arse to think about how many calls he made in those 30+ years and how many errors he actually made and not what you heard. I listened to the radio calls for nearly his entire time calling games and can assure you he was FAR AND AWAY 99% accurate ie <1% errors in the hundreds of thousands of calls he made.

So just get the hell out of here with this crap.

Not a huge Blair fan but no one in the stands, on the field or watching at home thought that ball was getting out

A 3-man crew for a radio broadcast just isn't a great idea.

I was in left field. The only home run you knew was out was the one hit by the WV left fielder. The rest of them looked like fly outs and they just carried. Both Milan and Curiel’s looked to be hooking could from my seats. Wind was blowing pretty good also.

But from his reaction I thought he was either gonna be out or that it was foul
I heard it when they were replaying the play of the game in 98.1.

Yes, it sounded like a lazy fly.

When you have bases loaded, you gotta make it sound a little interesting. Just hint that maybe it could go.

Classic that no one is ever happy.

The biggest complaint about Hawthorne here was "Oh that's a fly ball to right, it's deep!..... And that's caught on the warning track."

Don’t give me that shite. I’ve listened to plenty of guys on the radio, and they all had to make the same number of calls. Late in his career Hawthorne was terrible at giving a clear picture of what had happened on the field.

Blair is a professional. His job is not to make a spectacle of himself. Only adults understand that.

I don't normally listen to the radio calls because I live out of state. I was back in the state this weekend. I had to travel from one location to another during G2 against West Virginia. Who was on the call with Blair during that game? Was it Hunt Palmer?

I had to turn the radio off because the color guy was being a total negative Nancy. I just want guys that will tell me what's happening and will get excited at the appropriate times. Listening to that guy was like reading a in game thread when the Tigers make a few mistakes and everybody starts bitching.

I listened about an inning and turned it back to the ESPN broadcast via my phone. I arrived at my destination and caught the rest of the game on TV, happy that I didn't have to listen to the whole game on the radio broadcast.
