Ensminger was the primary playcaller this season. I don't see him forgetting how to call plays during one offseason.

What Brady did mostly was talked to Joe in between possessions to compare notes and to see if everybody was seeing the same thing. While Ensminger was putting the plays together for the next possession.

Joe Brady never would have left and gone to the Carolina Panthers had he thought it was going to leave LSU in a bind.

There is so much more to being the OC than just calling plays from the box on game days. 90% of what you see on Saturdays is a result of what was done before kickoff. Slinger has been around a long time. I'm not trying to downplay Brady's contribution, but I have full faith in Ensminger as OC.

Burrow's many talents will be hard, if not impossible, to duplicate for sure but Brennan isn't chopped liver.

Here's a thought: just relax and enjoy what has happened and don't worry about next year, ok? Don't let your catastrophe syndrome get the best of you.

I don't disagree to be rude I just think you're wrong.
A guy doesn't get brought in from the pros to be a side piece.
We didn't offer Joe the amount of money on that extension cuz he was a side piece.
Our offense didn't just out up possibly the best season in college football history cuz he was a side piece.
He didn't just become a pro oc because he was a side piece.
Joe didn't just win an award for being a side piece.
If that was the case then where is Steves offers and trophies ? We can downplay Joe Brady leaving as much as we want but the truth of the matter is he was a HUGE part in what this offense did, HUGE!
To say he didn't and wasn't the coach that made the difference is wrong.

It's not Brennan's arm that is the concern but his brain. The thing that makes Joe great is that he sees and processes stuff faster than any other college qb. Decision making and mental mind meld with his receivers. That took hours of throwing together on their own and hours of watching film. Joe didn't have to worry about school Myles does. Will he be able to develop the connection with his receivers and will they put in the work this year's did? Who knows!

He hit some nice deep balls in the spring game last year. I think Brennan balls out and we continue to push everyone in the west.

You can't replace a Heisman phenom with a next-man-up mentality. Myles will be good. But Joe was special.

The only real concern about Myles that I have is how is his accuracy on his deep ball.

That's your only concern between Brennan and Burrow? How about running threat, ability to read defenses, and unwavering confidence. I'm not saying Brennan doesn't have those qualities, but we haven't seen any of it yet.

After this season and knowing what we've got in the magazine, I'm going to roll $100 of my winnings from this year's LSU to win it all bet into a new LSU to win it all bet.

Playing with house money is way more fun.

Everyone keeps saying this, but E also called the plays last yr, don’t down play what Brady did for play calling.

I’d money on its wayyy more than y’all saying it was

Mine is can he acquire similar pocket awareness and have that uncanny ability to extend plays like Burrow did.

Won’t even matter how many playmakers we have if we don’t have a good OL. The OL is the key to having an explosive offense

9 wins would be a huge disappointment, don't be scared of success and accept mediocrity. We will be Uber talented and there is no reason we won't contend for a playoff spot. Set the bar high and keep it there.

I believe that he called some plays, but he didn't develop them. There's more to having a successful offense than just reading off a play sheet.

I'm more worried about a return to the offensive production of 2018, when Ensminger was completely in control of the offense. It wasn't good.

If Orgeron insists on having Ensminger go it alone, it won't be pretty.

I agree 100%, last year was frustrating, like E said himself, Brady was way smarter than him..

Look I hope you are right, but I think you are down playing what Brady brought to the table. If E was always in control then why didn’t we get at least a quarter of the offensive success last yr? I think O needs to bring in another pro spread mind to keep this rolling bc I don’t think E can do it on his own..

Hope I’m wrong

you and me both... it really is the million dollar question... can E make those adjustments that we all think Brady was making... hope E was taking good notes, or at least someone was...

you will see that OL next year mauling people.. we wont run as much as Les Miles next year but we will run the ball prob 55-45 run to pass... the interior of the line will be massive and strong... Brennan will be loaded with weapons.. if he just gets the ball to the play makers we will have a very good offense next year...

Reading the article where Coach E. said that was very concerning. It made it very apparent how much Brady was involved with the offense; much more so than most of us thought. Losing him is going to hurt.

Myles tended to overthrow the deep balls a lot when he attempted it. Trying to be safe instead of sorry. If he gets that down he'll be dangerous and we'll run the ball better next year I believe.
We didn't really go to the run until we got ahead this year. The balanced attack started out passing, then moved to rushing once we got a sizable lead late in the game.

OL timing and Outstanding QB play will be the keys. We have realize that may never be another Burrow at QB but Brennan has a chance to be very good.
