It's sad because it's true. But, this is what you get when you make these bullshite hires.

I mean, seriously, did anyone expect JJ to have success here after UNT? I know I didn't and many others as well.

What are u talking about? JJ brought his UNT team to BR and beat LSU. The far majority of the tards on this site couldn't wait for JJ to come back and be the coach.

Jones really has lived up to expectations (that's not a good thing!)

The proper response is "Remember when Reagan was president? That was the last time that Auburn was relevant in basketball."

Johnny Jones did turn a historically bad program, with one or two 20 win seasons in their history, into a consistant 20 game winner. Plus had them on the edge of the top 25 before he left.

Well when you have the three stooges running the show what can you expect? JJ, Joe and the grand puppet master calling all the shots.

LSU basketball, men and women, will be Alleva's legacy.

Only coach O can save him.

Not really, man. There was some cautious optimism. shite I even wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. But to act like everyone was anointing him the savior is just disingenuous.

We'll to be honest this isn't true. Jones won 20 games 5 times in 11 years, that's not considered consistantly winning 20. And he was never on the verge of having them in the top 25. His best conf record there was 13-5 which in the sun belt is nowhere near being ranked. Plus North Texas had cracked the to 20 before Jones was the head coach so he didn't have unpresidented success there either. He was hired for one reason, because he's Dale and Collis's buddy that's it. You don't hire a mid-major coach who's never won a tourneyment game or been ranked in 12 years of coaching and convince ppl you did it based on merit.

I'm not sure how this affects it any differently than when players were eligible for the draft right out of high school if they wanted to?
