I don't know why PM would suspend a player for a whole regional AND put his return up to the vote of "the team" for missing practice....

that makes no sense

has to be something else

I am pretty sure the seniors will kick his arse all over the locker room for potentially messing up their last shot at Omaha. Whatever the offense was, it was pure selfishness behind it. Hopefully he'll come back & pitch the game of his life whenever his turn comes up. Think how he would have felt the rest of his life had the team lost this wkend.

This whole thing was the most obvious failed drug test ever.

This is where it ends with me.... call me what you wish, flame away, I don't really care. Fail a drug test, you are off of the team. Plain and simple.....

Did you ever think that a poster might be privy to something the board doesn't have knowledge of? And out of respect for the way it feels (not to know) they might share whatever they can and do it in a way not to get their boss, coworker, family, friend, etc pissed at them?

Its not a power trip when they tell us a little and hold back on details.

A team vote wouldn't be needed just for missing curfew.

I saw someone said powder....if you can't decipher that, then yes, you are way way too old to be alive.
So let's leave it there for now with this....that "someone" heard correctly.

I'm good friends with Cody's roommates older brother, and he (little bro) told me he's gonna be back. I talked to him yesterday,

Shitty movie. He deserved to be suspended if he was caught watching it. Definitely will be a close vote on whether the regional was enough punishment.

50% of our football team would be gone

Not like these kids are shooting heroin or steroids (hopefully not). They are smokin doobies in college with their friends. Its not cheating and its not harming anyone or anything. Yes, its illegal and they shouldn't do it for that reason alone because they could get in legal trouble that jeopardizes their ability to remain in school and on the team, HOWEVER kicking them off? Give me a break.

ETA:

If it was blow, that is different. I admit. However, still shouldn't be kicked off unless its a recurring issue and/or he gets busted by the law. College kids make mistakes.
