I would hope that we have more class than to start throwing at our opponents heads.

You say this as if LSU fans have a history of apologizing for the team, when that simply isn't the case.

Back to the OT board for you SFP.

i don't see how

i asked for a rule. somebody provided one. i am pleased

but i just hope that LSU fans are intellectually consistent when we're the ones violating the rule

So if there is no rule you think it is OK to throw a baseball at 90mph at another players head??? Apparently so, which makes you an a-hole.

Just to be clear... you fit the definition of what an a-hole is. I am not casting aspersions. Just putting the label where it fits.

Has there been an instance where our pitcher was told to intentionally pitch anywhere close to an opposing players head? If so, and if our fans were ok about it..then you would have an argument.

But to insinuate that our fans would be ok if our pitcher did that..without any evidence..is assinine.

Hell..our baseball fans cheer for our opponents when they make a great play...and give their pitchers standing ovations for a great game. Why do u assume they would be ok throwing at their heads?

It's against the rules to intentionally throw at a player, this has been said multiple times. It's up to the ump's discretion on what to do given the situation.

Will this have to be said for a 5th time now?

You're making a fool of yourself.

There is a rule against intentional beanballs. 8.02(d).

It's against the unwritten rules, the written rules and common sense, you can kill a man doing that and it's dangerous enough that it might happen accidentally that there is no place in the game for it to happen intentionally.

I wouldn't be shocked if there isn't some ramification against the pitcher, Cohen or both. I'm guessing Cohen isn't a favorite at the league office either.

it took a few pages to post the actual rule

now LSU fans are trying to act like it's only wrong if you throw at a player's head, when that's not true

any intentional pitch at a batter is against the rules. i hope that LSU Fans are consistent in their distaste when we violate the rule down the road. that's all

Like I said, according to SFP if he got shot at with a gun and they missed 3 times it's perfectly fine, they are just wasting bullets. No big deal. No harm done.

if it's so dangerous, why has the NCAA not written a specific rule about it?

You are being incessantly stupid about this.

So you think there's absolutely no difference at all in throwing at a guy's head vs. going low?
