What I posted was a stretch, but what you came up with is perfectly reasonable?

Strange how the video shows more than one player stepping back

Yes, we do not know what ways said, we do not know if he went to talk to Dunn & sent Fontenot to the pen or if it was coincidence

What we do know is that it’s a rule not to be on the grass
He did his job and told some of them to get back

I can also guess that Jared Foster walking from 1st base towards the dugout was handling that side telling them to get back but I cannot state that as a fact as I wasn’t on the field

Again, if you hate his guts start a thread that says you hate his guts, at least it will be honest

As I wrote in a previous post, the player Mainieri walked up behind took a couple of steps backward from the grass reinforcing my speculation that is what Mainieri told him to do.

Great. It’s still a matter of opinion at this point. Just accept that some people don’t see it the way you do and move on.

What I will accept is that you just want to find any and everything possible to find fault with Mainieri. That much is obvious, regardless of what you have to completely make up to accomplish it.

Are you going to accept the FACT that there is a rule in place regarding how far players can be outside of the dugout & CPM was NOT stopping a celebration but making sure the team stepped back off the grass?

Nope

OP dislikes CPM & took a minor situation & blew it up to him getting physical with players
Received 400 upvotes so he’s automatically right

Anyone that disagrees is a homer & sees what they want to see

Same as one of the previous threads about throwing a player under the bus (not Walker thread)
Received a bunch of upvotes until actual quotes were posted

I posted in this the other day and thought the OP would come to his senses and delete the thread for being completely wrong.

Guess he's just a rahtard.

You can't read.
I read just fine.....in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Serbo-Croatian.

During the time the write noticed he WAS IN the bullpen
Nah. After the homerun, the writer reported that Fontenot went to the bullpen.

Fontenot only starts stretching and warming up when LSU has the lead. He would not have gone there when we were trailing 2-0.

If you actually followed LSU baseball I would not have to explain that to you.

Your full of shite! Every post that’s been about CPM screwing up, getting fired, are needing to retire has been getting multiple replies. And upvotes. You were just trying to beat someone to the punch. All y’all do... “y’all” as in idiotic posters on here! Y’all continue to shite on CPM.

Almost the entire thread is speculation.
In the video we see Mainieri touch a player and say something to him. We have no clue what he even said. He could have said “man Duplantis just put us back in this game” or “hey pizzas on me guys”. You know what, if you look really close, I think that’s what it was.

See, I can also create a narrative.

Everyone in this thread is trying to create a narrative. Russian thinks he knows why mainieri went to the dugout.

The only difference is they think they are on some sort of moral high ground because they are taking the side of the coach.

Mainieri has admitted to being an old fuddy duddy, not sure why a 10 page thread arguing semantics of something the guy admitted himself

My postulate is certainly more plausible than your "Mainieri sulked back to the dugout because none of the players listened to him" accusation.

Wrong. Wayyyyy wrong.

It's not a matter of taking sides. It's simply watching a video of the incident and using Occam's Razor to figure out what likely occurred.

At least you've now walked back your original claim that Mainieri "pulled players back to the dugout because he didn't want them celebrating Duplantis' homerun." Total horseshite OP.

But I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I may get a chance to talk with Mainieri tomorrow prior to the UNO game. Or, I may wait around and talk with him in the Champions Club after he finishes his post-game radio show with Bill Franques. If I do, I'm going to ask him what he said and what it was all about.

I realize you won't believe me if I update this thread with what he tells me unless, of course, he tells me he didn't want his players enjoying Duplantis' homerun and he wanted them back in the dugout so the torture and beatings could commence until team morale improved.....

No. Russian is showing that there are possibilities besides CPM is a dick. No one knows what he said, why he walked out there, or why he was walking back to the dugout. Had Trump been assassinated at that moment this would all be very important.
