Not sure how you can justify rewarding performance like his.

I hope he stays, but with the situation he endured, i bet he will be happy to leave.

I think I've seen enough of Tyler Jones. Give a young guy his spot.

What situation did TJ "endure" that wasn't of his own making?

true. that is what I meant. maybe, he has turned a corner. After his last start, maybe he will be ready to do this for real and not take things lightly anymore. Get it out of his system so to speak.

Jones and Watkins will both get drafted,, and both should go ahead and sign..

Watkins garnered attention, will decide later.

Does this mean Watkins will not be allowed back, even if he doesn't get drafted??

Could lose 4 members of signing class (Story, Cave, Goody, Eierman).

Nola isn't even a threat to leave now?

Hanagriff was saying something about evaluating the Watkins situation after the draft, he has garnered some attention, etc. With the news leaking out I think it is just the "official" story and that he won't be back.

Nola and a couple others are a threat. It just sounds like those are the four they definitely aren't counting on being here.

Well I get that...But if he is not drafted, then will he not be allowed to come back?

There is another thread making it sound as if Watkins is being kicked off.

"Cut" could be interpreted a few different ways.

"You can come back next season but I don't expect you to make the team roster." Was he cut? No, but yes.

Javy will stay on staff.
Again, open to interpretation. He may be "on staff" but not in his previous job. He could be the volunteer coach.

If Sanchez stays in his current coaching position, this is the most disappointing news I've heard since we found out we weren't going to a regional......

Hanagriff did say there would be no other staff changes, but that it didn't necessarily mean everyone would have the same responsibilities.

there would have to be more changes to get a new hitting coach. And I believe he said "it will remain intact"

WoW. Keeping that dipshit is a huge mistake. I don't see how you can justify firing Grewe but not Javi. If anything, he is the worst coach on staff and he has been since he came here...

We've got progressively worse hitting under him and the little late season surge we had, we played against really bad teams. And it isn't even just hitting that makes him suck...
