You can't miss what you never had. I don't think LSU ever really had him. Yeah sure, he posted some promising things on SM, but he also never seemed fully committed, more like he was using LSU as leverage or, at best, a fall back. After what he wanted (a pro contract) fell through, he came up with this.
Would I have wanted him? Would he have helped the team? Sure!
But the team will survive without him. They have good pitching coming back and good pitching coming in. The talk of now the season's over and no way we even host a regional are just ridiculous. Emotion getting the best of people.
He was, to me, never mission critical. A great have, but then he never really was a have.
And I'll say this too, the kid is a douche! If this is who he really his, I'm glad he's gone. And I'll say this too, I completely hope he's a total bust! Not because he didn't come to LSU, but because he did and left like this. DB!

I agree another player won't have the fall practice under his belt but it's not a "wasted scholarship" as some have written.
We can still use whatever scholly he had (if any) on an additional player.

Well, when it comes to baseball, it's likely he only had a partial scholarship anyway. My issue is the wasted time another recruit would have and how he went about this.

The guy on ESPN former Offensive lineman they call "stink" His son did that you UM. Difference is he played 1 year his freshman and then went JC route to be draft eligible.
