The only real question is who breaks the news first.

He's so gone.

Hopefully everyone will respect the situation he's in right now no matter what his decision will be. It's not his fault this is the way it all went down. How many people on this board could realistically turn down that kind of money coming out of high school.

This is an LSU message board, not a respect peoples wishes board, of course we are going to be pissed if he leaves

Any players around campus? If not, mainieri should take mac on an afternoon fishing trip

You might need an ark to get around campus today.

That dip in the road in front of Walkons is flooded and the road is closed right now. Happens every time it rains heavily.

True. Maybe an afternoon meal, and he somehow leaves the lunch without his phone

with all of this bad weather it would be a shame if the power went out in Mac's apartment and cell phones died

What would really piss me off is if he had to borrow Mainieri's fax to send in his signed contract.

Nola wouldn't have gone as high as Mac, but it was a similar spot as far as MLB teams didn't waste a pick when they knew he wouldn't sign. If college wasn't an issue Nola would have been a 10-15 rd pick, or better.

I don't disagree and admit calling him a 22nd round pick may have been disingenuous to what his situation was. Although I did, at the time, became worried the Blue Jays would throw a ton of money at him over his slot value once they drafted Austin a few rounds later. I feared both of them, actually, would leave when they were presented with the opportunity to play with each other regardless. With that said, even if Nola had been more signable than he was out of high school, he still would have likely doubled what his offer would have been by coming to LSU with the way things panned out, which was the main point I was trying to make. Nola and Gausman were both able to gain invaluable life experiences that can't be replaced by going to college as well as receiving excellent coaching that developed their talent and resulted in them receiving much more money than they would or could have received signing out of high school.
