one would hope-he realizes winning 55 games and the SEC Regular Season won't allow him to keep his job much longer unless he adds postseason WINS outside of places like Hoover, AL and Baton Rouge.
ranter statement of the day. Congrats for getting the award taken care of before 9:00am

Regardless of what you are Paul Mainieir thinks, Jared Poche will once again be one of our top two pitchers. This is embarrassing that you put this guy as a Saturday starter and have Poche on Sunday. Poche has been pitching great against elite talent for two years at LSU now.

Except for when it gets to May and his stamina is maxed out.
I like the kid as a Sunday starter but Poche doesn't finish strong. He has, for two years, struggled in the Tournament and the final few weekends of the season.
Why not go with another Lefty on Saturdays instead of Poche?

So that's why he nearly threw a complete game shutout in the regional?

You sure it wasn't 6.3 innings?

You're right. Forget the six run game, the two five run games, the errors in Omaha, Etc...
Let's just use one of the best games he ever pitched to crown him the king of the bullpen. Look it up instead of using ONE game to prove a point. Look at all his games the last two years in the final three weeks of the season and into the tourney.
Go ahead and look

We will have a lot more kids starting midweek games and then getting an opportunity for a Sunday start. Pauline totally bungled the staff this year by failing to use midweek games to develop viable 2nd line starters. His goofy Allstaff approach blew up in his face and was exposed for the mistake it is.
He's been outclassed in Omaha and-one would hope-he realizes winning 55 games and the SEC Regular Season won't allow him to keep his job much longer unless he adds postseason WINS outside of places like Hoover, AL and Baton Rouge. To do that he's gotta develop pitchers behind Lange and Poche that he can get two passes through a lineup out of. The all staff approach is for Community College all star games.
That shite got shoved down his throat in Omaha.
Who was the pitcher on staff that would have been the candidate to develop into that 3rd starter.
The whole staff approach was the symptom of the problem..not the problem.

Well OK in the Super regional he went 7 2/3 giving 1 run on 5 hits. So that's 2 games.

the errors in Omaha,
Those errors had nothing to do with fatigue. They were early in the game.

I did say he would crack the weekend rotation with all his experience

Radio guys are saying that with his stuff, he has to keep the ball down.
No way he has the 3rd best stuff on the team huh?
When is Riley Smith coming back?

tadelatt would not know you type it 6.1. 6.3 innings is 7 innings.
6.3 could mean 6 1/3 innings.

This was before we lost Godfrey and before Latz got hurt again. It was retarded. He's only our 3rd lefty (counting Latz) on the team and would have been a reliever to start had those two been available for Sundays.
Point being is tad got lucky and is 5 for 100 in predictions instead of 4 for 100.

Good call.
But he's still not ahead of Poche.
Yet.

As of right now he is way more consistent than Poche.
