Of those record 54 straight wins, 49 have been by 3 or more runs. Only 5 games were the Pilots a winner by 2 runs or less.

Eh I'd guess the high school that had Jack Flaherty, Max Fried and Lucas Giolito at the same time was probably better.

I would have to agree with this. Most high schools have players that sign with atleast juco schools and juco schools are higher level than naia level schools when it comes to sports and baseball. No offinse to lsus, i hope those Louisianamals win it all! But if none of them are juco worhty and a high school team has at least a few juco level sports and baseball guys my bet says the high school team would actually be better. Undefeated championship season is still nice though! Make Louisiana, Shreveport, and LSU tigah fans proud!

what a dumb arse take. you realize players from JUCO transfer to NAIA programs every year?

Loyola has made it to the CWS as well. They’ve come a long long way in the last 15 years.

That is impressive! Hope they can keep it going!

It’s crazy that it’s not being covered nationally. If this team was in NY or California it would be all over ESPN imo. But you have a sister school of a national powerhouse in college baseball and get no exposure. Crazy!

They'll get some coverage if they finish the job. Right now it's a record winning streak. It'll go down in the record books, but if they finish the season with title in hand, still undefeated, there won't be a sports site or magazine that won't have at least a blurb on it.

You probably think that a good Alabama team would beat the worst NFL team.

Nah. That’s a different scenario entirely. No college football team is touching an NFL team.

I could however see an elite high school baseball team beating some of the bad NAIA and Division III NCAA baseball teams. (Especially considering that baseball is more of a 50/50 sport than football. Even the LSU’s of the world can get run-ruled by Northwestern State on the right day.)

Lmao. As if

I have more brain power than almost all of you morons combined.

It’s very rare to see any of you think outside the box and not go with something that was spoon fed to you by one of the talking heads on TV or the radio. Then you try to re-package it as your own handiwork and act like you’re smart

You just illustrated why LSUS' record is so impressive. Every team, even elite ones playing lesser opponents slip up from time to time.

Elite NAIA baseball programs are on par with the middle of the pack of NCAA D1.

And by elite I mean the top 3-5 teams only, and then there is a pretty big drop.

Southeastern in Florida had like 6 dudes throwing 97+ a couple years ago.

Lewis Clark State has several guys in MLB right now and has had teams with 7+ draft picks, more than many good D1 teams.

Just because you say it doesn't make it true. You have proven yourself to be a complete moron almost daily on this board.

So you think I need TV or radio to tell me that high school teams can't beat most NAIA baseball teams? But you believe you have superior brain power because you think they can?

If you were really smart you wouldn't need to tell people that you were.

And the way they have one too. They’ve beaten several teams by more than 20 runs numerous times

54-0 is impressive but to be fair they have a very experienced roster that is equivalent to a small D1 school playing an NAIA schedule. Tip my hat to them for figuring out how to load the roster. They have 0 high school recruits on their roster. 0 freshman, 1 sophomore which was a transfer from D1. The rest are all juniors and seniors most of who have already played 2 years of Juco or higher level ball. Still impressive to not have a mental letdown for a few games though

Have played at D2 and NAIA level. NAIA, as a whole, is definitely somewhere between D2 and D3 competition wise. Southern Ark was always the best team we played on our schedule at LSUS, the other teams in conference weren’t very close from a talent perspective.
