What do Reuben Foster, Tim Williams, OJ Howard, Jonathan Allen and Ryan Anderson have in common and why 4 of the 5 will be first rounders?

They have stayed for at least 4 years inside of the process and college.

Want to know why Alabama wins national championships? Continuity.

It's all nice to wish underclassmen like Godchaux and Adams well as they head off to the NFL, but I'm an LSU fan and I want to beat Bama. Thinking it's great that some of these underclassmen get to be 3rd or 4th round draft pics shows why Alabama will be playing for its 5th national championship and LSU has been content with having top 5 recruiting classes.

Until we can keep some of these studs in B.R. for 4 years we will continue to be Citrus Bowl Champs

I could not agree more!!

Did Miles use the "early exit" mantra to recruit? I think he did........our attrition is killing our program, when you look at it carefully....

Vous avez raison........(French for "You have a point," or thereabouts)

Alabama has had a different starting QB, every year, for the last 4 years.

The coaches need to stress if you arent projected 1-2 day pick you should return and improve your stock. Those that think they will go 3rd round end up in 7th or undrafted and then find themselves out of a job. Go back to school, get your degree, and bust your butt to improve your draft spot = mo money.

I don't know if you know this or not, but LSU "kept" White, Beckwith, Dural, and Pocic this past season, yet they were still just "Citrus Bowl Champs." Here's a secret, just keeping the players isn't enough. You have to actually do something with them. Not changing the same approach that nearly got you fired the year before, thus losing two winnable games before Sept. ended, was a bigger problem than just keeping guys around for 4 years.

In going in to 2011 LSU lost two significant juniors from the 2010 team (Peterson and Ridley). They did ok that year

Aside from Coker who was a transfer, Sims had spent a full 4 years inside of Saban's process. Hurts will go for four.

We actually did that after 2015. And this is not the mass exodus like you saw after 2012 and 2013.

They have the greatest coach ever.

Or that their recruiting classes are so far ahead of even the 2nd best class in the nation.

Just a couple of thoughts, well before continuity. Not to mention, they've had a lot of different QBs, 1 being a true freshman just this year that ruins the continuity idea.

No doubt Miles offense has hampered us over the years, but overall, because of the early departures we have been hurt

Question: Why is it that guys like Reuben Foster, Ryan Anderson and Jonathan Allen stay at Alabama. Anderson was certainly a late first round pick if had left early and Foster has been a first round pick since he showed up in Tuscaloosa.

Our big recruits come in, get to their draft eligibilty and if they are any good, declare. Kwon Alexander could have played his way into an even better contract had he stayed. On the recruits that stayed last year, the only one that was a sure top pick was Pocic and possibly Beckwith ( although he probably would have been a fourth rounder) . But White was by no means ready to go...he made a good long term decision and Dural,....he may be lucky to get a late round pick ....has not been the same since his junior year

Here we are speculating on Dupree and their are sizeable posters on here who think it a good thing if he declares even if he goes in the fourth round

Yes we did. If not for BIGXII officials not knowing the FG rules we might have won a bowl game.

IMO, the biggest problem is they have the best coach in college football who consistently out recruits every program in the country.

Sims stayed for 4 because he wasn't playing before then and wouldn't have been drafted, this example makes no sense.

Hurts will probably stay 4 years but it's more likely because he's not going to end up being a major pro prospect.

There's no question that Miles recruited that way. He sold these guys on the idea that they would play three years at LSU and then go on to the NFL. That's what LSU had become under Miles.....a place to play before going off to the NFL. Alabama became a place to go to in order to win national titles.

Look what happens in the first week of February every year, who else should win?

There's a reason bama players don't need a paycheck from the NFL.

They have the best coach, the best facilities, the most money, and the best talent (recruits). They are better than every other school in every single category. That is why they win. This will stay this way until Saban leaves. Bottom line.

Returning starter is better than a new recruit. Makes a huge difference
