Chad Lavalais was the most dominant defensive tackle I’ve seen at LSU. If LSU had a high preseason ranking in 2003 like they did in 2007, Lavalais would have won every award that Dorsey won.

Best season: Lavalais '03 (if fans don't recall this, go see for yourselves)
Best career: Dorsey '04-'07

Jarvis junior year was better than Chase. Chase has another year but Jarvis had to play in Miles offense.

He caught everything and was the most physical receiver we’ve had.

Physical was Jarvis and Eric Martin. Martin would punish LBs and DBs. Go watch him with the Saints going over the middle. He would get hit, get up, shrug his shoulder pads and trot back to the huddle. He was physical.
Carlos Carson was a lot like Jr season Odell Beckham. About the same size and speed. He could flat out fly.
I’ll never forget his first game at LSU for as long as I live. 5 receiving TDs in a single game.

My OL is:
Whitworth
Collins
Faneca
Mawae
Andolsek/Trai Turner (tossup)

I lean toward players who play 4 seasons and Andolsek had to play DL as a true Fr but Turner is fantastic. Already been to 6 pro bowls.

Sorry but Marquise Hill doesn’t belong on this list.

Maybe so - couldn’t think of another end at the time. Definitely not Sam or Mingo.

Who do you like at end over Marquis?

QB is Joe Burrow.

No doubt others had stronger arms (Bert, Jamarcus, and Mett) and would have put up big numbers in this offense, but Joe's pocket presence and accuracy were on a different level than anything I've seen at any level.

Joe is not only our all-time best, he had the all-time best season in CFB history.

Dude set every record imaginable last year.

Here's your random 2019 team fun fact of the day:

All 3 starting WRs broke the LSU single season TD record of 12 by Bowe in 2006.

Chase: 20
Jefferson: 18
Marshall: 13

What might be interesting is to post every player in the conversation to be the best at that position for LSU over the last 20 years. It would be a ridiculous number of players except for at QB where there is no discussion to be had - the list is short and starts and ends with JoeyB

Is it last thirty years or our lifetime? I’m seeing players from a long time ago on here. If it’s all time then Wendell Davis is the third WR. Brooks is definitely the lb. The op said last thirty years so if we go by that they’re not on it.
If we are talking about just their career at LSU, Trai Turner doesn’t even sniff the field.

Also you can hate Delpit all you want but I think he should at least be an alternate behind Adams. He was a unanimous AA his 2nd year and a Thorpe winner.

I personally listed only players that I’ve been able to see and remember. But I would like to see some others list their all-time team.
Tommy Hodson, Harvey Williams, Todd Kinchen are 3 that stood out to me as a small kid. Late 80’s to early 90’s era is where I began but I guess Kevin Mawae is the oldest player I remember followed by Eddie Kennison.

I know my team is missing some more deserving players but I can’t have an opinion on them without ever actually seeing them.

I agree. I can’t believe I overlooked him.
