if we're going to run the spread, we need lee out there until JJ can prove he can pass

if we're going to run the spread option, we need JJ back there

crowton is a spread guru who doesn't fully understand the spread option, and no matter what, miles will push crowton to go power football and run it up the gut all game.

in short, our offense is a cluster frick b/c of coaching preference, ability, and lacking the talent to put it together

he has thrown two passes!!! and u people worship him like gods gift to football...look im proud of the kid and im extremely happy when he does something productive....but the fact is he has proven last year that he makes dumb decisions and you wanted to stick with him and give him a chance all last year....and now when jefferson makes a few mistakes you want to bench him....sounds like a double standard to me....and i agree with a previous poster our line cant block anybody rite now and lee is about as mobile as a refrigerator...sry dont think your points are valid

So you are basically saying its impossible for a someone to improve over an offseason. Lee has a quicker release time and makes quicker choices. Jefferson isnt getting it good as a QB, its time to give someone else a chance.

I cannot believe people are suggesting that Jarrett Lee.....MR PICK SIX, MR-THROW-AN-INTERCEPTION-AT-THE-WORST-TIME, MR-IM-TOO-CUTE-OR-SCARED-TO-WALK-TO-GET-A-FIRST-DOWN, MR-THROW-INTO-TRIPLE-COVERAGE, MR-STARE-DOWN-RECEIVERS..........is a better option than Jordan Jefferson.

Seriously, "we cannot get to Atlanta without Jarrett Lee"????? Yes you're right. Its JL's stellar play that led us the the Chic-fil-a bowl in Atlanta and not to the SEC or NC game.

Thanks Jarrett.

Some of the stuff said here BLOWS my mind considering what happened to us last year.

JJ has more upside, so play him. Give JL a series or so each game to keep his head in it...if you look at last night's throws, there were 15 to 25 yard passes down field, deep corner routes that were completions...JJ is getting better each game with OL woes, countless substitutions and only one pick in 3 games...last season JL regressed as the year went on. We will need a solid back up, but to suggest he could do what JJ has done up to this point is a reach...

That's a hell of a lot shorter leash for Jefferson.

wrong, way wrong. A QB in development doesnt need the extra pressure of looking over his shoulder. JLee should not start until an injury (which I've held was likely) or JJs play limits us from winning.

My one and only point has always been, that JLee did not get the same respect, and that ppl need to get off his nuts because looking at JJs multiple injuries and current lack of production, I feel we will see JLee in the future.

He doesnt need a lot of fan baggage when that time comes.

I sat in the upper deck last night, and I saw receivers come WIDE open in their route, then I would look back at Jefferson, and he would just be winding up to throw the ball. The defenders by that time had caught up to the wide open receiver.

Jefferson needs to work on releasing the ball quicker. I hope he gets it fixed. If not, Lee is the answer because he can make those throws.

You are not the only one that feels that way. Believe he needs more playing time too because LSU is going to need it when the drives stall against Georgia and Florida, but don't look past Miss State. All 3 qbs are needed to get through the cold spells.

I believe this....

Les is giving JJ all the time needed to develop and improve the vertical game. IF...if JJ doesn't develop more by the time we play the big boys, I fully expect to see Lee in the game more. LSU can't win games at this point where we need to score over 30.

I don't expect Lee to get the majority of snaps, nor want him to. In fact, I don't give a frick who is behind center as long as we can win.

But, if JJ's pocket passing skills don't improve, you will see Lee play more in the big games. He has a quick release and can throw the ball down field, and gives LSU the chance to come back or compete in a shootout.

There is no need for you posters to drag one QB down to support your guy. None of us should really care who the starter is.

3) you obviously dont realize people can improve over an offseason
4) According to you the defense had nothing to do with a bad season last year

Its fans like you that make LSU fans look like morons
