IF the tigers win out, we would have victories over (some assumptions for SECCG and playoffs):

- @ Texas
- UF
- AU
- @ Gump
- UGA
- Clemson
- tOSU

That's 7 victories over top 10 opponents in 1 season (and all but Texas could very likely finish the season ranked in the top 10)

Would this be the best team/season for any CFB team all time??

2011 LSU would have been better had they won the Natty.

Underrated coaching blunder of that year - starting Lee/Jefferson while having Mett ride the bench.

Maybe but let's see how it plays out. I think this year's offense is as good as 2011's defense but I think this year's defense is better than 2011's offense.

Yes, that would be the greatest season ever because of who they played. Tiger's schedule is much harder than people expected.

name the better season?

oh and before you say 2011, which was a bad arse team, they lost the NC, so that right there is enough to put this team ahead IF they win out and 2. that 2011 team did beat a lot of great teams, but had just 3 victories against top 10 teams and 3 teams finished the season unranked that were ranked when we played them (Moo state, UF, Auburn).

So, would love to hear your logic smart arse

really?

if you are including the playoff, then yes best LSU season

ETA sorry i missed you were including playoffs but its unlikely all 7 of those teams will finish in the top 10 Auburn could have 3 and maybe 4 loses before the bowls.

as far as CFB, 1995 Nebraksa beat 4 teams that FINISHED in the top 10 by 24, 21, 38 and 38 so im gonna stick with that for now

Have to agree with 2011.

This season is great, but the regular season of 2011, was epic. #3 Oregon, #25 Ms St, #16 W. Va, #17 Fla, #19 Auburn, #2 Alabama, #3 Arky and #12 Georgia Then #2 Bama (worst LSU game I have or will ever attend).

We may never have another season with 9 ranked opponents again. Also, I Oregon and West Virginia won their conferences that season and the Orange and Rose bowls, so in a way it felt like we owned those titles too.

would winning out to win the NC not include the playoffs? I mean, if i need to get simple with things, i guess i can write every little thing out on here if you dont have the ability to infer that on your own.

And yes Auburn could have 3-4 losses...but I assume your saying they lose to Georgia and Bama. Georgia i could see them winning with their defense and being at home, bama probably not but you never now. Even if they did have 4 loses it would be against 4 teams ranked in the top 10 and 2 of them on the road in tough environments and would still be ranked just not in the top 10.

95' Nebraska team pretty damn good schedule and could give them the nod no doubt.
