They would be better off playing in Houston or even Shreveport.

Interesting decision. The attendance from SBR and St. George may be a little sparse

I doubt ULL would have let them but Cajun Field would have been nice.

I bet a lot of Southern fans would be there that lives in Scotlandville area who wants to check out LSU, who would never go across town for a spring game.

So I have no knowledge of SU campus. Is it inherently unsafe?

Olyimpia stadium off Perkins would have been a better choice.

It really is a beautiful campus overlooking the Miss River from the bluff. The buildings are old and in disrepair but so are a lot of LSU's.

I just hope their field is in decent shape, would hate to see any injuries. I'm guessing LSU field crew will be able to scout the field out and make any needed repairs in time.

Could have asked around to other college campuses like SLU or maybe even Tulane or Independence STadium in Shreveport. Memorial could have even been an option.

I really wish the NCAA would allow a spring scrimmage against another opponent like baseball does now and even basketball has the closed scrimmages.

If TS isn't available this is the only sane option.

i happened to be on their campus for a HS game the night that Sims got killed. They had a concert going on in the their gym.

It did not feel at all safe.

With that said, the other times i was on their campus it felt safe enough. With the spring game being during the day I would say it will be fine.
