LSU will have to whip UGA to be #1 seed.

With OSU having 3 ranked teams in a row, we will have to blow the doors off of UGA.

You assume they win all of them?

Don't really care - just get in

So we would play Clemson in the first round as the #2 seed? That is good with me.

This will be the 4th time we "haven't faced a defense like this" this year, so maybe we'll be all right.

Is there any real incentive to holding on to the #1 spot beyond assuming that the #4 team is a going to be an Oregon/Utah/Oklahoma team that is supposedly an easier matchup than OSU or Clemson? I'm thinking that whether you have to beat OSU/Clemson in the first round or the second doesn't really matter unless you're placing an inherent value on making it to the championship game over losing in the first round (as opposed to the "win it all or bust" mentality)

Who's to say that OSU doesn't lose to Michigan? or Penn State?

I do not agree
The committee is setup to be fluid (based on eyeballs) within the season . Once the season is complete the resume will be the deciding factors ..which osu probably won't stack up .
I'm also assuming osu looks mortal in at least 1 game and the defense just played its worst half of the season .

You would rather play Clem over Oregon or Bama?

Unless OSU loses. They have a loss to give.

Bama's done.

I would just say a win vs. UGA would place us at #1

I mean does that really matter? If it's OSU/Clemson you'd like to avoid, you'd assumedly have to play one of them the very next week anyway.

Not if OSU whips all 3 of their teams

Will OSU have 5 top 10 wins?
3 of those being current top 10 teams.
