You just made that up

And there was no clicking involved. I thumbed through an actual magazine at my local grocery store's magazine stand

Foucha is a huge upgrade from last yr to solidify that spot. Ward played his best ball the last 4 games, especially bama. Burns and toles will be in their 3rd yr, and burns has had good looks at uga and lsu. Sage looked really solid in games at slot cb... being asked to cover other teams fastest guys as a ss. Not sure why safety wouldn't be a strong spot. Davis and Langlois don't have to produce this yr with 5 guys ahead of them.

In general, if healthy (huge question mark), secondary will be significantly improved versus the last 2 yrs. We had walkons playing multiple cb spots back half of each of the last 2 yrs.

I'm gonna go ahead and not judge a first year freshman's performance in a spring game as the be-all end-all of his athletic career. Todd Harris is a team leader not just on defense but in the locker room as a whole. Major Burns and Jay Ward are solid. Jordan Toles and Derrick Davis will at least be solid. Matthew Langlois is a freak athlete that won multiple state titles in track and started on both sides of the ball in high school. He's gonna make some plays for us before he's done at LSU.

Depth is NOT an issue at Safety.

CB is certainly the biggest concern going into the season. The transfers help but they are a downgrade from the 4 we lost.

Hope and pray they stay healthy

If Bech wasn't so good at reciever, he would have easily been a 4* safety.

No, I'm not saying he should switch, lol

LSU had their worst secondary in 2020 and 2021 despite having big names at those positions.

The fact that all you have is "the spring game" as an argument makes anything you say pretty much invalid. It's the spring game. It's a glorified practice, several months before the season. You've lost this argument. Let it go.

What makes you think S is a strength? Did you watch the spring game?

You do know we have a whole new staff right? You do know that the spring is when the implementation of the defensive system STARTS right? You do realize that the spring game is MONTHS away from the start of the season right? You do realize these kids have time to learn right?

Our front 4 will be strong af, finally back to LSU standard.

Need the LB's to do well pressuring and this secondary will make plays.

a lot of the weaknesses in the secondary can be covered up by our DL getting after their asses up front. collapsing the pocket, forcing throws on the run, untimely throws to avoid pressure/sacks, etc. go a long way toward helping out the back end.

Wouldn't surprise me if our secondary is better this year.

That's a lot of assumptions in one post. Toles and Davis will at least be solid? Based on what? Their ranking? They haven't shown dick on the field and maybe that's why they're buried on the roster because they're not good in practice either eh?

Langlois has it mentally right now I believe but he's not ready right now physically. He needs another year in the weight room unless you want him making tackles where people gain extra yardage on every tackle.

Harris is buried on the depth chart because he is what he is. Leader or not he isn't exactly the best player.

Sage is at the position he'll play and he was completely lost in spring. If you can't do your assignments, you can't play at LSU. It's that simple. He has a ways to go.

Ward and Foucha is what you have with maybe Burns. Not exactly shining depth there. It's a weakness outside the starters. You can only go on by experience or what you've seen and right now Ward/Foucha is what you have on experience. Burns hasn't seen enough to really say one way or the other on him. Harris has progressively got worse at LSU. Not trying to shite on the guy it's just what it is. The rest are all younger guys with a combination of either no experience, haven't shown much development, or still needing development somewhere. That's 4 younger guys who definitely not ready to play at LSU right now. In the future? Sure. Right now? No. Not good depth.

It’s definitely a weak spot. Corner is scary especially with Converse coming back from injury. Gardner, at his size, holding up against SEC WR’s is in question too.

And suspect LBs too.
Talent is not even close to the level of the past 2 decades and is worse than when Saban took over.
