This is stupid. So don’t want Mike to suffer trauma but it’s ok to traumatize another tiger. What a bunch of retards

I agree we, as a state, have more pressing issues.
However, this is not an "enormous waste of time and resources". It was very very little time and resources. Literally a few phone calls and a few thousand dollars. We don't even know if it's tax dollars or not. I can think of a lot of things much more wasteful than this.

He’d be back in his habitat. The teams go back to the locker rooms with about 25 minutes left before kickoff. LSU takes the field about 4 minutes before kickoff. That’s 20 minutes. Mike would be long gone before any fireworks are shot off.
(I may have misinterpreted your post)

It’s pure optics. The “optics” don’t look good with him in the trailer on the field. If Mike was tortured with noise inside the stadium his habitat would be the same torture

Stop with the logical conclusions. People just want to be upset because...?

LOL. As if he can't multi task. I doubt he spent more then 4 hours on this. Not sure what the cost is but I can assure you it is way less than BREC wastes on the park system here. And it used to be a tradition to have Mike on the field until we became pussified. I love it. Will drive the nut jobs at PETA crazy. Hopefully they will send nude models to protest.LOL

Man, this really triggered the incels feigning animal cruelty - first Trump wins and now this? They're going to have to ask their wive's boyfriends to comfort them.

Maybe I’m wrong but I just don’t think true. You think the decibel meter that they show on the field would be the same if it were in Mike’s habitat instead?

Anyone who says it’s immoral to bring Mike on the field because it’s torture for him due to the noise, but also fires off fireworks around dogs losing their minds is a giant hypocrite that uses there morality like a pick and choose buffet
Any dog owner who puts their dog in a cage (or otherwise forces them to stay outside) in the back yard while they shoot off fireworks, knowing the dog is terrified, is a shite dog owner and a shite human being. I don’t really think that’s debatable.
You’re making a false equivalency between shooting fireworks anywhere and forcing your own pet into a cage near the fireworks that he hates. It’s either dishonest or retarded.
It’s also a silly distraction from other aspects of this story, like:
- Why the frick is Jeff Landry inserting himself into this?
- It certainly seems like this is just an attempt to stay in the news at the expense of creating controversy for LSU.
- Why are we expending any resources on this?

As far as crowd noise id say it isn’t as loud in his habitat, but it’s certainly still loud as shite and if he truly hates the noise he is freaking out just the same
Listening to pregame outside the stadium right there is very loud.

You are not wrong.
Its louder on the field, as one would expect..
Landry is bringing in an undocumented Haitian Tiger (much cheaper than domestic tigers).

The crowd noise? Not as much but absolutely an inconsequential difference to an animal that has noise anxiety.
