Do any of the top ten teams have someone that can keep Reese from getting a comfortable double double

If Reese has a good game against SC, she should be player of the year, even if LSU loses.

Is LSU hiring Kim Mulkey from Baylor the greatest coaching steal of all time?

Was it really a steal if Mulkey wanted to come home?

You know.... She wanted to come to LSU when she was in HS on the north shore. LSU showed little interest even though she was an absolute beast in HS. Just went to a small school with little competition. She held a grudge for quite a few years. She didn't embrace us until after we embraced her son. The bad was on us.

Boston for SC isn't putting up huge numbers. I think the award is Angel's to lose, as far as SEC POY goes. She leads the league in scoring by 4.6 ppg and leads in rebounds by 6.0 rpg. Unless she has totally crappy games against SC and Tennessee, the award is hers.

LSU could also have SEC freshmen of the year in Flaujae, although its mostly between her and the Poffenbarger girl at Arkansas who is technically a redshirt freshmen.

I'm not so sure about that. I think Boston still has the advantage in that many still believe she is the best player in college and that her numbers are down because she's not called to do as much as last season. I DO believe Reese has a better chance of beating her for SEC POY, than National POY though.

Your thinking about Staley @ USCe. Her & her recruiting staff are telling recruits that Kim Mulkey is basically a RACIST because she didn't “Support Griner”.

Of course its all based on THEIR (Staley & Staff) definition of Support. Griner broke the law of the country she was entering & she had to face the consequences.

Thankfully so far it seems as if this is not hurting her in recruiting.

Yeah I don't think we get Mulkey if not for Kramer. She came to so many games here while he was playing. Saw how much he was adored. Had to have had an impact on her.

Not only that, but you know when she came to watch him play she got to see family and friends more often than she had been.

Reese just started getting talked about in these awards discussions recently. It’s like everyone decided Boston is the best player so she will get the awards even though she is averaging 12/9.

Mulkey has an incredible class coming in next year and appears to have LSU on the cusp of taking over WBB. You here complaining about stupid shite that you don’t know if it’s even true.

Kim graduated from Hammond High SChool and was the state POTY. She went to Tech because Tech was serious about WBB AND WAS a national power.

I have absolutely no doubt she is.

Mulkey addressed the issue weeks before the big sound bite that threw everyone into a tizzy and at that time spoke at length and with empathy on the subject. But of course the media was too lazy and/or predisposed to go back and find that.

And it ain't hurting recruiting - sorry Dawn.

Ready for the WBB Game of the Century against South Carolina.

should be a combined 47-0 or 46-1 if UConn beats South Carolina the week before our game on 2/12. Could wind up being #1 vs #2. Probably the most hyped I’ll be for a WBB game since LSU was last in the final four.

Baylor coach whines about how mulkey didn’t support griner

That would be the new Baylor WBB coach. Word I have is Kim was a pain in the arse to the men's program and the University. She was loved by the fans of WBB but the AD was a dick towards her. She had to walk the floors for years saying "NCAA Champions" but it was the women, not the men, who held that title for over a decade until 2020.

She also didn't want the new basketball arena off campus but the men's coach and AD pushed the issue.

They deserve what they are reaping for letting her go without trying to hold on to a Champ.

Welcome home Kim.
