A statistic is a static. If you alter LSU’s, then do the math on the other 120 and post the new rankings. You can’t just alter LSU’s.

Okay, sure. LSU is 10th in regulation points (since the 7 Overtimes is completely skewing this stat). So when comparing LSU against it's peers, they are 10/14.

1. Alabama 47.9
2. Georgia 39.2
3. Missouri 36.9
4. Texas A&M 34.7, 30.62
5. Florida 34.5
6. Ole Miss 33.9
7. South Carolina 32.6
8. LSU 31.8, 28.38
9. Miss St 29.1
10. Auburn 28.3
11. Vanderbilt 27.7, 27.2
12. Kentucky 26.6
13. Tennessee 22.8
14. Arkansas 21.7

this offense isn’t even mediocre man.

The saving grace statistically was 7 OT periods where we lost.

Otherwise we were below mediocre.

Stats dont tell this story if you see my post. We were about average in CFB, a little above maybe.

The OL was one of the worst in the country in pass situations.

What was it before AM 7 ot game?

Looks like 27.4 pts a game when eliminating AM 7ot, and defensive TDs, which is 74th.

If you add the AM game, 24pts in regulation(taking out defensive score), its 75th.

Point is, your post and point is very skewed by 1 game!

OFFENSE WAS TERRIBLE

Put aside statistics.

Ensminger went pass happy in 100º weather against Florida on the road, a decision that ended up costing LSU a win. LSU was held out of the endzone, offensively, against Mississippi State. The team got blanked by Alabama. They scored 24 against Arkansas, a terrible team, and rallied to score just 24 points against A&M, a defensive sieve.

Here is a statistic that cannot be denied: LSU's passing offense was 81st this year. Even after 7 OT's, LSU's offense was ranked 77th in yards per game at 389.

It's not good enough, and anyone even trying to pretend otherwise is just lying.

*ETA -- My mistake, LSU did score a TD against Moo State, but that was set up by an interception that got them into position.

I believe LSU had 4 or 5 TDs in OT??

Had the game actually ended where it was suppose to..

LSU has 37-38 TDS outside the 7 OT game????

Guess where that would have put LSU in total TDs..?

Probably somewhere around the 90-100 range.. which is the more accurate reflection of our offense.. both yards and TDs..

I think E should get another year.

And this right here is why we can't have nice things at LSU.

Lol at the stat manipulation to make it look better than it was. Nobody outside of the “dumbshit” bubble is going to buy that.

Dude, seriously... And you think that's not inflated because of the A&M game.

What are we ranked if we scored 31 against A&M? (which is what it was at the end of regulation)

There are way better stats out there than pure yards OR points to tell how good or bad an offense or defense is.

For instance, S&P+ ratings. They even go as far to show how good or bad your line play is.

I agree That’s a fair point, but how many teams played 7 OT?

It's ridiculous.

The OT game was crazy, but aside from it.

LSU is around the 100's in total offense, yards, and TDs I believe.. Could be wrong, but it's not pretty.

It sucks we continue to breed this offensive culture at LSU. We had an opportunity to shake it up and didn't. LSU continues to do everything the hard way only to just get by.

I just hope teams like Arkansas and Ole Miss continue to stay down. It is nice not losing to those guys any more.

Factor out the AM game, LSU is deep in the 100s

LSU scored more in OT than they did in 9 other games!

They have purple and gold or CEO sunglasses on and trying to have 1 game (AM) help putrid offensive stats.

Expect more of the same next year. Only difference, LSU will not rally in the last game of the year to bump the offensive production. I fully expect them to hang around 70-80 all season.
