In Lafayette the media must refer to ULL as UL or just Louisiana. Anywhere else in Louisiana they are correctly called ULL. ESPN calls them La.-Lafayette.
I know of no other university that is so confused about what to call themselves.
I would like to put up a billboard in downtown Lafayette that says: The Name is University of Louisiana at Lafayette. NOT UL and NOT Louisiana.

I didn't realize there was a rivalry. It's a lopsided event that occurs occasionally. They have never scored a TD against us in football in history. Their baseball team had a few decent years and that was it. They aren't on our radar.

And if anyone thinks ulala doesn't "care" about this game...go ahead and try to get a ticket to the game next Tuesday, they basically held ALL tickets for season ticket holders & rcaf members, reason given to a STUDENT who tried to buy tickets: "this is a ulala event & we don't want tickets being bought up by LSU fans"

Playing SLI/USL/ULLLLL/the bulldogs/the cajuns/the chilli peppers means absolutely nothing to LSU fans. And that feeds their hate as much as anything else having to do with LSU.
