If LSU ever plays Tulane again in New Orleans (and I hope they do), they must NEVER agree to play in that tiny shoebox stadium on Tulane’s campus.

It MUST be in the Superdome, or Tiger Stadium.

Tulane’s stadium is a glorified high school stadium and it would be the ultimate embarrassment for LSU to ever set foot in there.

Put them in the yearly rotation with instate schools... if they don't accept that, no deal!

I would rather play Tulane as instate opponent than Grambling, or Southern, or even U Laf. Tulane was for many many years, along with Ole Miss, LSU's chief rival.

LSU's revenue for a home game is, approximately, a little over a million a game .There is no way LSU will give up that amount of revenue to play tulane on the road in front of mabe 30K fans. Even a game in the Dome would not come close to making LSU break even. 2-3 games in T.S., mabe. But tulane has never made a financial effort to make LSU good. Just the opposite; they will always want to screw LSU. And, once again, this does not appear to be coming from tulane's desire to play LSU. As I understand it, Verge's dad is a typical big time New Orleans politician. A guess, this is where it's coming from, Verge's political dad pushing a New Orleans' agenda.

We have a bye on Yom Kippur, so Tulane’s probably off that week too.

I would rather play Tulane than a School from another State.

Not sure what your point is. As small as Vandy's stadium is, it still holds 10k more fans than Yulman.

Assuming a 4 to 1 Baton Rouge vs Dome, LSU would win eleven out of ten games & since it is an instate game, the CFP committee would probably accept it over a regular G5 rent-a-win.

I mean if they play anything like they have the last couple of years under Fritz the CFP committee better accept it over a “regular” G5 rent-a-win. They’re 23-5 the last 2 years.

If they go back to old Tulane then they basically are a regular G5 rent-a-win.

I wouldn’t mind playing Tulane again but it would need to be something like you said.. 4-1 home/away with the away games at the Superdome. I just don’t know if Tulane would agree to that kind of deal, and I don’t know why LSU would agree to an even rotation or playing at Yulman.

I will say that I’d much rather play G5 teams than FCS. But with the way we’ve been scheduling P5/P4 opponents, I don’t really think we should be taking any risks with our G5 schedule either.

At a preseason kickoff press gathering earlier this week in New Orleans, Verge Ausberry is reported to say that LSU & Tulane is talking about scheduling games in the future.

Speculation is that Oklahoma & Oklahoma State is being pressed by state politicians to begin playing again - probably on Thanksgiving weekend. This would leave LSU looking for a 12th game. A&M is going to play Texas. Arkansas is going to play Mizzou.
I miss playing Tulane to close the season.

Play them every season and it will become a Rivalry again; it used to be intense.

Play in Yulman only if Tulane expands it to 50,000. The last time they played in the dome, there may have been 40,000 fans there. It was half full or half empty and it was also an 11:00AM kickoff.

Tulane is in the rotation with every other school in the state. It would be like UGA /Ga. Tech nothing good can come from it other than a blowout and potential injuries. (See UGA 2019) Wouldn't have helped them beat the greatest team of all time but it is an example.

Be treated like every other school including U Laugh or SCREW TULANE!

Yulman is a great stadium to watch football. It’s small but so what. Oklahoma, ole miss, and Kansas st didn’t have a problem scheduling a game in New Orleans. Bring back this great rivalry. Money isn’t everything but you’ll have to mature to realize this reality. Maybe we’d hear from Mr TulaneLSU !!!
