based on a great coaching staff

Dave Aranda himself doesnt make this a great staff.
we have a head coach that kentucky wouldnt let run their defense and an oc that in the last 20 years has spent more time coaching high school than being a full time OC. oh and that oc didnt want the job.

It's extremely important for people that actually have an impact on the game. It's meaningless when it comes to message boards as far as the outcome of football games.

Never said it meant a difference in the outcome of a game.
Having a positive outlook matters in life.
Even as an insignificant sports fan.
What is the point of so much doom and gloom before we even start spring practice?
Why even bother?

Totally agree as it pertains to my life for me to be positive. I'm not preaching doom and gloom, but also not practicing blind optimism. If it's a good season, I will be happy as ever, but I don't see anything to make me think that's the case, so I don't want to be disappointed.

Yes, it’s just a game that some people take way to seriously.
So why not be positive and enjoy it?
If a game is going to put me in a negative frame of mind....
I’m walking away from it.
Geaux Tigers!

P.S.
I’m looking to win the West this year!

Well we know precisely what to expect with a Steve Ensminger/Ed O offense.
I hope he kept Cam's playbook.

Steve hasn't run his offense since an underwhelming '08 7-5, 300ypg, 9th in SEC, offense.
AU regressed from 335ypg in '07, and was 2nd SEC the season after he left with 430+ypg.

Not happening but love the optimism
Brennan coached by E can do it. WR's coached by Sullivan can do it. TE's good enough.

OL is another story all together.

They couldn't consistently pass block for shite under Grimes. We'll have to wait and see if Cregg can make chicken out of chicken salad. He'll have to be a certifiable miracle worker with the available talent on hand.

I'll believe it when I see it, since I'm a realist and not a cheerleader living in a P&G tinted Alice in Wonderland fantasy land............

Man, just stop. Good grief.

Being optimistic is great but come back to Earth.

why does my hope for a good team bother you and other folk

I have never been one to chime in with the crowd

I am not playing you guys I feel we will be a well above average football team this year - on par with Georgia and Bama - don't know - that is why we play the games

It does't bother me at all. I was being a little silly in that post but I wasn't trying to be rude or anything.

Richt is a good coach, I hated it when we had to play UGA when he was there. It was always a tough game.

Like I said, being optimistic is a good thing. I want to see us win that game too but I don't see us putting up 300 yards through the air on them.

But we'll see.

Again, not jumping your case or anything. We'll see.

I'm looking to win the lottery this year, but I am not telling everyone that I have some fallacious enhanced probability. Historical statistics say that I will not win, so bragging to everyone about how I see myself winning this year is a little bit silly. I will be excited if I do win, but I am not counting on it, and I won't be devastated if I do not. Although, it is fun to think about and the positivity can't hurt at all.
