Try reading my posts again. At no point did I ever say only send guards inside. Pretty sure we have a few bigs that can get the ball inside. Duop has great hands for a big man. Pass him the ball inside and let him go to the basket. The odds are he is either going to make the shot or get fouled. That would have been a far better strategy on Saturday than continuing to jack up 3 after 3 and watch them clank of the iron.

This basketball team lives by the three and dies by the three. Epps can in no way play with his back to the basket..... You know that if you watched any basketball. Reath does not have great hands and is a trainwreck when he gets double-teamed. Reath gets neutralized by certain teams ability to pack the paint I'll go ahead and trust Wade.

And get the frick out of here with your basketball 101 shite.

I'll trust my own eyes over your misinformed opinion.

Thanks for your contribution to the discussion though.

Inbounds PLAYS are fine, its the actual concept of inbounding the ball that we struggle with.

Mizzou doubling down Reath took away our inside game so we had to make do and we did. How about the switch to the 1-3-1? Excellent coaching decision.

I love Reath, but he has terrible hands.

You don't know LSU sports if you think we've always been a football school.

The student section needs to be moved back to where it once was.

Misinformed opinion? Actually, this team very much so lives and dies by the three.

When Reath and Epps step out and hit 3's we are hard to beat.

i'm confused by this. inbound plays have not been a problem that i can recall at all this season.

If you watch closely, most of the year we have run the same "just get it in" inbounds under the goal that Trent and CJJ ran much of the time with Duop or Epps pinning a guy to his back and us just lobbing it to him....and it's led to a few turnovers.

If you are talking about taking the ball out under our defensive goal, yeah we've done that o.k. outside the other day, but not too many teams have really pressured the inbounds much there.

Waters is a great on ball defender

He plays 5 feet off his guy and still gets blown by regularly. He certainly COULD be a good defender, but he doesn't currently have the desire.

Uh he is a pick pocket machine. SEC steals leader at 2.2/game.

Well first off Mizzou is pretty good with a pretty good RPI and we won the basketball game. So I will take that stratagy over any other stratagy without knowing the outcome. And sports work that way. It is really easy to pick apart any coach after a game (usually in a loss) but in the heat of the moment that is why we have Will Wade as the head coach. I am very happy with what I have seen with him and right now am about as excited for LSU basketball as I can remember being.

We do not have a slasher who can drive and score. We also do not have enough decent players who can defend the 3. All they would of done is pump fake and drive to the goal. We played about as best as we could considering the lack of talent.

Win big and the students will be there. That will start next year, can't wait. If Mizzou hadn't missed all those free throws, it would probably have been a loss Saturday. Beat Vandy, we owe them one.

I agree with you that Tre has quick hands and is very good at poking in there to get picks or deflections; however this only happens when opposing guards are dumb enough to just stand there and dribble right in front of him instead of making a move.

Guards that make up their mind that they want to drive by Tre, generally do so with ease. I have watched him all season give up once a player decides to put the ball on the floor and go by him. Rarely does he slide his feet to cut them off, which is likely an effort issue, b/c I find it hard to believe it is a quickness issue. So for that reason, he is not a very good all around on ball defender.
