The only reason Brad Edwards would care about credibility is to remain employed by ESPN. The better he is at what he does equals more $$$ in his pockets. Just like you and me and everyone else.

He is not an expert, whatsoever, so why you think he's accurate, I will never know. He does no math. He's a mouthpiece and has been more wrong than right this entire year. He also clamored all the past two weeks saying Bama was a shoe in and it wouldn't be close even if OSU won in a blow out. Edwards is a joke and should be fired, but he's towing the company line.

According to friends on the team, Miles didn't know (for sure) until it was announced live in 2007.

This. There is no way that they notify hundreds of people before the show airs. One verifiable source leaks that information and ESPN and the BCS get scooped and their expensive and highly watched selection show flops in the ratings, meaning that next time they get millions of dollars less in ad revenue.

or Saban knows and told the team ....

earlier he was saying it up to the pollsters ...

or he's just hoping. pretty definitive statement though.

Well the school may know, but the players don't yet.

In 2007, LSU officials found out they were in around 4:30 pm. They did not tell the team so they could be surprised when it was announced on TV.

I'd expect legit "sources" to start coming out in an hour or so.

Baloo- I think Reese is a bummer graduate and believe there is one or two others at ESPN. Danny Sheridan is a bummer to and campaigning for a rematch. Sheridan used the Rocky II rematch scenario last week and mushmouth stole it and used it last night. Mushmouth sorry arse is always trying to influence these situations.

In 2007 it also wasn't nearly as close as this will be either. It was a change, but the scores weren't even close once it was clear LSU was #2 in the coaches' poll and harris poll.

Agreed but it was the "official" word from the BCS. The computers/votes don't come in slower because the margins are tighter.

I understand that. My point was that why would it come earlier this year. I think your suggested time frame makes sense. Schools have to officially accept the bids before the show goes on the air.

I don't think he is accurate, yet. We won't know if he is accurate until the teams are announced.

My point was that he would rather be right with his pick than pick Alabama to feed his supposed bias, since he is an Alabama grad. Whether he is an expert or not is debatable but someone thinks he is since he is getting paid for his services. If he wants to keep getting paid he needs to be right more often than not. Just like you and me.

Just think about the bowl conference call , graphics people on tv, ADs at schools, etc. sure they try to keep it quiet. But impossible. Someone who works inside a school says he knows. Maybe he does. Maybe he doesnt. But he says sugar Michigan Kstate. All flows from there. I'm not saying players know. I doubt they do. But don't you think some at Michigan and/or Kstate know ? Yes.

If he is wrong and it's OSU great. .... Just seems pretty confident and could be in position to know. We will all know shortly so no biggie.

What proof do you have for this? He hasn't cared about being right all year, and has pimped BAMA every step he could. All he has to do if OSU ends up in the game is claim his sources were wrong on the Wolfe poll.
