Whenever anyone would attempt to bring up the ‘03 champion back in the day, the easy response was that Vegas only paid out for one team - LSU.

I don't think they ever said they wouldn't schedule games with the SEC or Big12. Either way, the "scheduling alliance" is just a front for them divvying up who gets who from the rest if the Big12 and a voting bloc to ensure they get equal representation in the playoff.
