LSU is stepping up security around its gymnastics meets following an incident involving disruptive fans of Tigers star Olivia Dunne at LSU's season opener at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City last Friday.

I'm not familiar with crowd etiquette at gymnastics meets so I'm just curious. Is everyone supposed to be quiet when the opposing team is doing their thing? That sounds like standard stuff for home crowds when the opponent is shooting free throws or something for instance.

She made the decision to broadcast herself.....she will have to learn to deal with it.

Yea see that pic in the OP is what’s wrong with this whole deal
These kids put themselves out there and don’t have the maturity to think about the other side of such fame
You don’t get to have it both ways. If you want to be a celebrity then mobs of lunatics following you around goes with it

One can cheer when a member of one's team does something good like making a great dismount.

I don't think she's upset about the attention. The fans apparently were disrupting her teammates. She wasn't even competing at this event.

You're being downvoted, but you're correct

Realistically this is one of the only ways as a female athlete she can become extremely successful financially

Can’t Google the chick and find a gymnastics photo, it’s all skanky pics.

It was a bunch of Utah high school freaks. This has nothing to do with LSU fans

Wish we could put that genie back in the bottle.

I think the attention seeking behavior is offputting but as an LSU fan I’m seeing this ESPN article (notice no one else is covering this story) as just shiny outrage bait for the miserable Tara VanDerveers of the world.
This ain’t real news

As it should be.

It's not exactly the hardest hitting news but it's being covered by tons of other outlets. People magazine, Fox News, Daily Mail, New York Post, etc.

White, female version of OBJ.
Nah, not that bad but she does like attention and that is how she earns her NIL. Its unfortunate that it has come to this but it was probably inevitable. Odds are it gets to the point that she doesn't compete her senior year and might leave LSU completely. I get that her constant tweeting pics and stuff has created this. What pisses me off is these busy body Karen's that are attacking her. It is funny how karens will bitch and complain about men approaching women saying they have no respect for women objectify them. But the hotter the girl is they will turn on her and they then eat their own. Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.
