I know what you are talking about but I don't think it was Ivan.

Also, Hurricane Andrew tore through the Florida peninsula and then made it's way to Louisiana.

What hurricane was it that made landfall twice on the gulf coast?

Ivan?

It made landfall and went all the way up the east coast, then the remnants circled back through the Atlantic and into the gulf.

Yep

I want to say there was one more recent that made landfall in the gulf and then did a u-turn and headed back towards water...

I love reading how scared their fans are of playing here. Note not one single "frick it, lets go beat them at their place" or anything similar.

I would be shocked if this game doesn't get canceled

I'd rather have the game postponed then to play it at LSU home field.

quote:

why not move it to Tampa? Big enough city to host the teams, big airport that shouldn't be affected by the storm and a stadium. best part yet is that it wont be in BR

quote:

I think the university is doing everything they can to try and get this game played in Gainesville.

And it better not get moved to BR. I will be PISSED.

A Florida guy replied to that tweet saying that they are doing the same in Gainesville right now, so sounds like no one knows for sure

One track has it coming to Louisiana. No one knows wtf this thing is going to do.

That model is after it skirts the coast of Florida, loops around in the Atlantic and crosses Florida into the gulf 9 days from now.

Why are you surprised that Florida doesn't want to play a home game in Baton Rouge? We'd be talking about the same thing if the roles were reversed

The fact that UF hasnt conceded yet to moving the game here is infuriating.

We would not have the majority of posters wishing to straight up cancel the game than go play there. Half that board doesnt want to play the game at all.

The game will be in Baton Rouge

Yep. The only game preparations affected by delaying the announcement to move to BR are ticket sales, which is just fine by Florida.

No shite I read some of that earlier. I hope that isn't a example of their entire fan base.

too many logistical problems for this to played in GNV...contra-flow on 75 and 10 is at the top of the list...UF if they dont get the ball rolling they may have charter issues with AA
