It is now a CAT 4 storm, but the eyewall may not make it fully ashore and certainly the strongest winds will remain offshore.
Its moving at 14 mph now

Most hotels in BR, sold out this weekend, causing an issue of finding rooms for team

Why is this game still scheduled to be in Florida when there is a Category 4 Hurricane about to demolish the state?

Bring the team to Lafayette lol I mean this is common sense.

LSU players stay at their homes ... UF players stay at Lod Cook. Easy. Not my idea sad to say but we have some other smart posters.

Yeah I dont believe this.

They may be able to pull this off. However it may be in s half empty stadium. I know the game is somewhat important, but it's NOT that important.

So when is the final decision, 1pm? What did they decide from the meeting at 9am?
This is next level BS how bad UF is handling this.

These fricking idiots are idiots. There are millions of people evacuating from the coast all the way up to Georgia.

You should.
There are still thousands of people displaced from the flooding here. My customer told me she stayed at Crowne Plaza last weekend for the LSU game, and that it was completely booked & most people there were people still homeless from the flood.
ETA: My boss was here last week and he had to stay in Metairie because there weren't any Marriott's in BR with availability.

There are a million ways around that. frick they are trying to send us to tampa and have us bus in. Our original hotel for the team was 55 minutes away from the stadium
They can stay in Lod Cook.
They can stay in Laffayette or Nola
Finding UF a hotel is not the issue thats stopping them from playing in BR.

You can basically walk up to the stadium before the game and someone will hand you a ticket.

I am not arguing with you on that point. I totally agree. Was just saying that the hotels in BR are likely sold out but not because we're such a happenin' place.
They could stay in NOLA, Hammond, Northshore, practically anywhere within an hour radius. Or like someone else said, let the team stay at home and allow UF to use their rooms at Lod Cook. Makes good sense.
