The Tenn game was a week later after Katrina. I think it was delayed because of a 2nd storm that came through. It was Rita

Tennessee game was a month after Katrina. The ASU game was 12 days after Katrina and was moved to ASU. The next home game, almost 3 weeks after Katrina hit, was rescheduled. Rita made landfall on Sept 24. Tennessee game was 9/26.

Just not understanding how you can have a game canceled with no reprocissions due to negligence on the part of the gators.

It's almost certain it will be cancelled. It won't be played on Saturday, and probably can't be played on Sunday or Monday due to the aftermath of the storm.

Why are you responding to me like that? I personally don't think it will be as bad as people are thinking.

calling somebody out on messing up CDT vs CST reeks of douchebaggery

Well, I guess that every person or teacher that has ever tried to educate someone is a douchebag. Thanks for educating me on such a thing, douchebag.

By the by, douchebag, I did not call him out. I simply pointed out his error, and quite amazingly he corrected that error. Perhaps he appreciated the heads up, douchebag.

(See, this post is me being an a-hole and calling someone out on their douchebaggery.)

I'm still trying to figure out how both of that chick's shoes got on their "edges" like that, leaning the same way.

If it is cancelled, there may not be a winner but there will very likely be at least one loser.

No but trees and power lines down, rescuing people and trying to restore order after a storm is bad enough without also asking first responders to manage a football game too

So I see everyone is assuming CAT 4 conditions are going to travel all the way into Gainesville.

I believe it's possible people are saying the resources that would be required in Gainesville in support of the football game may just be required elsewhere in the state. It's not like first responders travel to help out in neighboring communities when disaster strikes or anything like that.

Exactly

People tend to underestimate the resources required to host an SEC game inside and outside the stadium
