Come regional play, I'd be curious to see if Glenn got the 2nd spot over Eades.

I still think we throw McCune versus Jackson State

This seems like a good move. If in fact Nola has a tired arm, perhaps he should not throw in the tournament at all. I am not sure that we can beat Vandy anyway , and I think we have already earned a regional and super regional.

I think Glenn starting Wednesday probably confirms he will start on Friday in the regional. I think if McCune was a possibility he would definitely want to get him another start early in the tournament. I guess if we lose one of the first two this week McCune would pitch Friday...and he would still have 6 days of rest before the first regional game.

That makes sense. If Eades is struggling I almost don't mind throwing him on Friday to get some confidence, work on an easier lineup. Either way, I think we'll be fine in the Regional no problem... I'm curious who we would get matched up with for the Super, not sure anyone in Texas will host, FSU will be a national seed. Troy or South Alabama could host if they win the Sun Belt... I imagine we'd get them and FSU would get a non national seeded SEC team?

what if he was running train on cleat chasers during those days, is it still "rest"

Unless he's pitching while he's doing it, yes it is.

Exactly. It would give Glenn and Nola the same amount of rest before their regional starts.

Neither team would have their best pitchers so it would be an interesting game for sure.

why are people worried about Eades? He walked 2 guys and gave up a homer. It happens at times. His previous outing against A&M was stellar.

I'm in the minority as I'm not worried. If he's pitching and our bats and defense are on then we'll be fine. And we certainly won't see as many homeruns in Hoover.(At least I hope not)

Wow......Nola's arm isn't tired and we CAN beat Vandy.
