A lot of this felt like Clowney situation his soph/junior year when he knew top pick was locked.

Looked to not get hurt over going balls out , & it was obvious and painful to watch.
This team will end up INFAMOUS, not famous sadly

Rabalais' article (and premise) was stupid. If there was ever a team that needed to shut it down, it is this dumpster fire collection of players. Very little on this team worked from the chemistry to the coaching.

It is realistic to expect that, at this time next year, we will be talking about the termination of JJ and who will be the next coach. I am not sure why anyone would want to come here after seeing what happened with this team and with Jones as the coach.

Just the cherry on top after this season, honestly. One-and-done's will definitely steer clear.

If your team is such an embarrassment that it feels it cannot accept a bid to the NIT, you have to fire the coach.
TCU just fired Trent Johnson. We should admit that Jones was no better and fire him too. Even with the better recruiting he isn't better. So get rid of him and Nikki now and start over. Otherwise just scrap basketball at LSU and put the money into football, baseball which are both revenue producing.

This team went from being in the NCAA Tournament to just quitting.

We will be able to utilize this time to get better and start preparations for next season.
So what are they planning on doing this week exactly? Is Jones working on a secret playbook for next season?

Johnny Jones is an embarrassment to LSU and to basketball. The total lack of effort in the last few games was nothing short of inexcusable - and 100% the coaches' fault.

And then to punk out of the NIT is shameful. It makes it even MORE clear that Johnny Jones sanctions quitting. Be a MAN and play hard to the very last possible minute!

Why doesn't LSU just fire Jones? He's the cause of all this misery.

The article in the paper stated that another reason for declining post season was that Hornsby was hurt and Blakeney played the last two games under the weather. Also that Blakeney would be questionable for any post season play. What is the deal with that? Surely he won't be "under the weather" for that long. Is Blakeney leaving the team also?

I saw that on ESPN. The team seemed to have some weird absences from illness this season. Robinson and Epps were out like a week. Why would Blakeney be questionable for the postseason if he just played in 2 games?

I am guessing that the players revolted against Jones and he was handing out suspensions left and right.
