In honor of Curley Hallman's tenure...the Stadium will only have 25,000 fans...like when he was the coach at LSU

So proud of how far we’ve come since but I personally wear it as a badge of honor that as a kid I became a diehard LSU fan during our worst era.

Will we kick off at the start of both halves like he did that one time to honor him too?

To look at the positive side, post game traffic wasn't too bad.

I still remember sitting at my grandparents house on game nights. My grandpa would have his headphones on listening to the game. He'd be quiet for awhile and then start cussing. I laugh now everytime I think about it. I'm gonna have to go and watch a game with him this season, he's still pretty spry for being in his 80s, but he's not immortal.

The perfect GIF in response. Thanks again for Curley, Brett.

I don't know how Curley did it but amazingly he was 3-1 against the people we play tomorrow.

Yep. It makes you appreciate how far the program has come since then and how easily it could go back with just a series bad decisions/circumstances. LSU went from finishing either 1st or 2nd in the SEC for three straight seasons (1986-1988) to having 6 straight losing seasons.

I vividly remember sitting in a cold Tiger Stadium in 1993 excitedly watching a 5-5 LSU team play Arkansas for the chance to go the the Carquest Bowl. CARQUEST BOWL!!! It was not even within the realm of possibility to think LSU could win a national championship just 10 years later. Hell, at that point it had been 35 years since they won their ONLY NC. If LSU were 5-5 going into the final game(s) now fans would be losing their minds

What made Curly Hallman so bad at LSU. Didn’t he have a good resume

His resume was almost literally that Brett Favre beat FSU.

IIRC we won the coin toss and elected to kick instead of deferring

I think it might have been against aTm in the first game of the season. I just remember thinking we were getting the ball to start the 2nd half and then being really confused.

I hope we don’t end up losing. That’d be too much like the Hallman days.

Bradie James also made that mistake during the Saban era.
