I dont care if he's a crook...he's our crook, and our only Heisman.

Damn. I was really hoping it'd be another one of the 5 same tigers we got a bundle deal on

Old guy here. I was there on Halloween night 1959. Billy Cannon was our hero back then. He is a true Tiger.

Cannon was a STUD, and he played great on defense as well.
I knew his dad, he was the maintenance lead for Johnston, Hatcher and Hodges Dorms. He was never short of words when praising his famous son.

Stovall should have been our 2nd Winner as he was screwed by voters that voted for Terry Baker who was a POS!!

Who is Terry Baker?
Now I always liked Stovall, both as a player and a coach. He SHOULD have won the Heisman, a He's a good man of faith.
I don't know why Stovall didn't work out as a coach; his 1982 team in particular was one of the strongest teams in the country and was only a few points from an undefeated season.

Long overdue. Glad to see him get this honor while he is still alive to see it. He is the greatest of LSU Tigers !

This should have happened in 2003 to celebrate our 2nd "recognized" national championship.

I think he was officially "forgiven" when they retired his number. That's a bigger deal than the statue
