Iron Bowl was a lock before Saturday. Now less of a lock but still probable.

The only years they haven’t picked the iron bowl auburn and Alabama were BOTH awful and not ranked or one was only ranked 25. In addition they contractually could not pick them in 2014 due to Mississippi state unexpectedly being #1 and cbs picking a huge matchup with Alabama for one of their games giving Alabama 5 appearances earlier than they expected meaning they could not pick the iron bowl as Alabama was maxed out on appearances.

Can’t imagine it wouldn’t be the Iron Bowl. More drama. Likely CBS will want to hype Alabama for CFP in the only important post-Tua game left in the regular season.

Iron Bowl. That's been the CBS Thanksgiving Saturday 2:30 game almost every year since 1988. Why change now.

Agreed. i'll watch the Iron Bowl but it will be picture in picture with another game and the sound will be on the other game because I can't stomach Gary Danielson. Maybe they'll soon fire him for laughing at the knocked out photographer.
