They have to tell the truth to the NFL folks. If not they won’t trust you in future when you are pushing players.

Guarantee they didn’t just tell an nfl team that lol

It’s not uncommon for colleges to be truthful with nfl teams

His only problem was doing weed as far as I know. Lots of players that that have had worse problems than that.

Not a good look for LSU sources to be dogging former players. If it was that serious they should have kicked him off the team

If they are implying he was negatively influenced by others, I wonder who he was 'following'.

This may be true. But it’s irrelevant to the the conversation of him being a leader or a follower. You can do weed and be a follower or do weed and still be a leader.

They didn’t hold a press conference to announce it, I’m sure they told it in confidence to whoever asked. If they just sunshine pump all their guys, then their opinions are worthless, and nobody will trust them on anybody.

And shite, I’m relieved to hear his a follower. Our starting LT missed half the National Championship season cause he couldn’t quit smoking weed. If he was the ringleader of a bad decision making group, that’d be more worrisome. He just needs to follow the right people.

Unfortunate to hear it on tv but not really a secret to the nfl organizations.
I hope he can put all of it behind him and stay focused. Too much talent to throw away.

I assume the context was his behavioral issues. As in, why did Charles to continue to make bad decisions. “He’s a follower not a leader, if you surround him with good people he’ll behave.”

He smokes weed. At LSU ( unlike other schools) that is a big problem. We throw generational players off the team because of it. The NFL now officially Has decided they DNGAF. So He will be an NFL starter millionaire who lights one up on Sunday night and ESPN will go on to worrying about the next kid. Errybody wins.

It’s not a bad thing to be a follower. You can’t have a team full of leaders and expect everyone to mesh well.

The narrative was the exact same with Tyrann coming out of college. He realizes now he needed to grow up and Charles will feel the same way. ESPN was just stating the reason for him falling in the draft. Hopefully he gets as some perspective like Tyrann did.

No you don't kick him off for doing weed. You try to work with him, discipline him the right way, but when the NFL comes to ask you about him, you tell them the truth. You start giving misleading information to NFL GM's and Coaches, your program looses credibility and you hurt the chances of other players getting the best draft slot position they can get.
