Well that’s dumb.

Living and dying with softball is an interesting choice but to each their own

Some people enjoy it and it’s an increasing popular sport that a fraction of the cost of boys sports could win you a national championship

Maybe LSU could cut the boys sports and just be a softball school.

Save money and win a championship that some people might care about.

I’ve been following LSU softball since 2015 when secn+ started and you could easily watch all the games.

I got spoiled by those fun teams in 2015-2017. Beth has not put a product on the field near as good as those team in almost a decade now. I don’t lose much sleep over softball but it is extremely frustrating being so mediocre for so long now.

I’m all for upgrading Beth so to speak but it has to be a full commitment to the program. You can’t throw money at a coach and not spend to support the players year in and out. Being a top 15 team is a notch above “mediocre”

Saturday Night Mediocrity Acceptor Softball Suck Off Festival on the Rant.

* It's only Softball. Who Cares?
* Leave Queen Beth Alone.

* Softball not important enough to spend money and buyout her remaining two years. (I half-heartedly agree with this one)

* We made a Super Regional and that's good enough.

* We lost to the #1 team in the Country.

LSU Softball Sycophantic Excuses are Glorious.

We are not buying out a softball coach.

Don’t extend her. If she leaves on her own, don’t stop her

Why would they? She just advanced to a Super Regional. LSU softball is perennially a Top 20 program. I think the University is willing to live with that.

Softball just doesn't rank high enough in priority to invest more. No one wants to pay the buyout and then hire another coach.

It is what it is.

No. But we’re not Even close. Half arse pitching and we need some sticks to compete with the top tier teams.

Many of us are softball fans and long for the program to be elite.
Most are not fans of softball and don't really care.
The fact is that this woman is overpaid.
And regardless of any amount of salary, the HC must have a burning desire to win. She doesn't.
So, the program is left with yet another overpaid apathetic coach employed under a mismanaged contract from SW.
Although she is the all time winningest LSU softball coach the record is deceiving taking into account the powder puffs she has beaten.
Her conf WP barely breaks .500
Her last WCWS appearance was 2017.
The program is stale. The teams lack chemistry and personality and now NIL and the portal are also in play.
I'm not sure why a girl would want to come play here.

yup. we want to be elite like we have been in football and baseball.

we are not with beth and people are complacent with this and it is not good.

not sure LSU gives a shite.

she has been here 14 years. her time is over. she had elite talent 3 or 4 years running and could not win a natty. now we cannot even get back to the WCWS. have not been since 2017. SHe does not have the drive she used to have. I have known her a long time. good persona nd good coach but not what we need to be ELITE. time for a change and new blood.

brian kelly won also. he was not elite. neither is she.

and she has ignored plenty home state talent that is now going elsewhere like malloy miles(ole miss) and calvary baptist girl going to UGA. too many others to list that have went to bama and elsewhere.

They're good not great. They'll never be over the hump but will be competitive. Just let her finish out her contract we can handle a couple more years.

From what I am hearing there is a scandal. Coaches on the staff were dating and sleeping with current players. Head coach knew about it, and covered it up

I'm sure Beth is a great person and a great mom but having been around travel ball in South Louisiana I've seen amateur coaches that would bring as much knowledge and more intensity and will to win than Beth. I watched coaches change. Nikki gave birth as a coach and Les and Kathy were so heavily involved in their children's athletics as young ones I get it. A women who gives birth during her professional career scrambles her priorities. Motherhood should always come first. But a college athletics program shouldnt have to suffer because of it.
