defeats Auburn 3 - 0 to take the 1st of a 3 game series.
IMO, they need to win one of the next two to host. Or, win at least 2 in the SEC tournament.

Transfer pitcher Monticelli has become the ace of the staff. She twirled a shuout tonight aided by a Sports Center top ten home run robbery by the centerfielder. She is a big girl and has command in the circle and competes with swag and emotion. The team seems to have galvanized behind her. Heavener has struggled recently but if they can get her issues worked out this team has a chance to go deep in the tournament. Last year's All American first baseman has been on a tear after a slow start.

If we don't get out of a regional, it will probably be "fire her", but I think this is one of her best coaching years as the team actually improved throughout the season unlike the last several years.
But, like I said, it depends on what happens in the regionals. If she makes it to - at least - Regional Sunday, I''m fine with that this year. But, if they don't make it to Sunday, it will be another failure of a season, IMO.

That’s the way with all LSU sports, just wait until football if LK doesn’t make the playoff next yr ..it will be brutal around here

They need to make it to the final for sure and then hit the portal again. They have a great class coming in but you can’t depend on freshman to take you to the next level. Depending on who hits the portal from LSU I would think 4-7 portal additions
