I was in Broken Bow Ok at a distillery bar and had my LSU garb on and had some Texas Tech and OK people in there so we started talking a little trash all in fun and I mentioned sweeping OK and beating ARK that day and one of the women laughed and said we don’t care about all that. All we care about is softball. I laughed but it looks like it’s true other than football.

I’m not going to say that a coaching change isn’t the right thing to do. But if Beth was winning the SEC and then not making the college World Series, people would still have their pitchforks out. Sec softball was not good in the late 90’s early 2000’s. LSU wasn’t even the best program in the state.
That being said, Yvette girouard was is the best softball coach we have had, but you can’t say the program had more success with 2 CWS appearances to Torina’s 4

I love LSU and I can't tolerate any degree of embarrassing dysfunction in ANY LSU Sports and softball is currently in that "Embarrassingly Dysfuctional" stage.
The program is poorly managed & coached and the HC is several years past due for a Termination.
All the Tiger teams wear Nike, so Woodward needs to "Just Do It" already and relieve Softball Nikki of her duties? (Then go out and throw $$$$$ at a proven HC a la Mulkey)

ok it had more in terms of SEC regular season title and tourney title success. dont give me that BS the SEC was weaker. SEC is SEC. YG got it done! nobody GAF when it was done. titles are titles. there are NO ASTERISKS by them.

A majority of the sec schools didn’t have softball teams until the later 90’s. The sport was dominated by the west coast teams. ULL had more appearances to the WCWS than the entire SEC in the 90’s

I may be wrong, but I say we'll be having this same conversation at about this same time next year. Beth is now a cancer to our softball aspirations and we must rid ourselves of the cancer but Scott W. is shy to pull the trigger.

the new TAMU coach is only in her 2nd year. now does that make it acceptable they got shellacked by liberty in a home regional? absolutely not but it was not that coach's 14th year.
should they still get blasted for no WCWS since 2017 like us? ABSOLUTELY!

I guess the short of it is yes I am fine moving on from BT. Same thing every year… pitching not good enough.
However, softball is a non revenue sport and they are not going to throw the bank at it. BT just got extended last yr… duhhh
