yeah it’s not reliable…it has Vukosa to Kentucky, but they’re not even in her final 5 schools.

LSU adds the #10 pitcher and number #26 overall recruit in Macie Bryant. Another real big time get as many believe she was under-ranked and was also being recruited by Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas etc…
With this commitment of another top 10 pitcher for this class, I imagine Kaylee Hodges (the #5 overall recruit who visited last weekend), will be headed elsewhere.

after week 1, LSU has the top ranked recruiting class for 2027.
I know there are definitely a few more spots open for this cycle and they have their eyes on a some other big names, (Hodges being one), so there could be a shot of claiming the number 1 overall class two years in a row.

who would you say are the 3 remaining recruits we will be targeting if we’re able to take 7 in total?

the top 5 recruit was Kaylee Hodges, a RHP, out of VA. she is the reigning Virginia Gatorade player of the year and the #5 overall recruit in the class.
she did not commit, and has an upcoming visit with Tennessee. she doesn’t have any other visits scheduled right now so it appears it most likely be between us and The Lady Vols.
LSU has been recruiting her a lot longer than Tennessee, so I would think we are the favorite but Tennessee is a lot closer to home so it might come down to the visit this weekend of how things shake out

looks like she might be headed to Baylor…she recently followed Baylor WBB & their head coach
I have faith our staff could flip her, if they reach out ASAP with a good NIL deal, but it might already be a done deal with Baylor if they don’t act fast

there’s still questions if she would be able to play for this upcoming season due to it being past the window to enter the transfer portal

We have 3 incoming freshmen pitchers.
Of the 3, Ashlin Mowery is the top ranked, reaching as high as overall #17 in the rankings. She is another velocity pitcher but on the right side, which will give a nice compliment to Heavener. She also has a pretty good bat, so could definitely hit for herself when she gets in the rotation.
Lauryn Soeken out of Katy, Texas could also work her way into the rotation and in my opinion has the most potential. She has achieved up to a #22 overall ranking across platforms. She’s already shown success against some of the top high schools throughout the state of Texas, so I think she has a good shot to break out and earn the Sunday started spot if we can’t pickup another pitcher via the portal. She is more of a strikeout type of pitcher similar to Heavener but has really good numbers in strikeouts, ERA & opp BA.
Cali Deal is the final incoming freshman pitcher and is a Louisiana native out of Quitman who pitches from the left side. She is a two time state champion and was ranked as high as #34 in the rankings. She also plays for one of the top travel ball teams in Texas Bombers and has worked alongside all time great Cat Osterman over the years on her pitching. From what I’ve seen, she has a lot of upside, but I think it may take her first year to work on some things to get to the level of competing in the SEC.
Overall I think all 3 have a lot of potential to earn their spots. They provide 3 different looks and a lot more depth than we’ve had in a while. It’s going to take BT to give them the opportunities to gain that experience in learn in both the offseason and some early mid week games to prepare them for the daunting schedule we experience in the second half of the season.

The struggle is there really isn’t many high level pitchers left in the portal.
Maya Johnson from Belmont is expected to end up at tOSU after just becoming a licensed nurse in the state of Ohio.
Desirae Spearman, the former Conference USA Player of the year out of New Mexico State, came on a visit but must’ve gotten offered more NIL in Lubbock as she just committed to Texas Tech.
Abby Dunning from BC also committed elsewhere to Clemson after taking an official visit with us.
Our best shot would be Miali Guachino out of Ole Miss who just entered the portal the other day. she was a D1 Softball second team freshman All-American, and lead the nation in strikeouts for a decent amount of last season; however, it’s suspected she wants to return home to Southern California and join UCLA. I do know they are trying to get her in for a visit in the next week or so.

all of the ones that aren’t returning have already been announced to have entered the portal except for Abigail Savoy who had to medically retire and Savanna Bedell
I don’t know what’s going on with Bedell as she isn’t officially in the portal

Yeah might as well just give them the trophy already by adding in 3 All-Americans on top of Canady & Davis.
In regards to adding a pitcher, they definitely are trying to grab one more experienced arm. They had Abby Dunning from Boston College visit over the weekend but I believe she is headed to Duke. I haven’t heard anyone else they are bringing to campus but with the departures from the team, there are spots to fill.
We have 3 freshmen pitchers coming in, and even though Heavener will grow a lot in the offseason, this will be a very young pitching staff if they don’t add at least one more arm with experience.

yes. one of the top available OF in the portal visited last weekend and although she hasn’t committed yet due to having other visits, it is expected that she picks LSU

Y’all shouldn’t take anything this dude says seriously…lmaoooo
He pretends to have insider knowledge but just reaches and hope his guesses will stick.
Like nobody thought we’d get the catcher from OSU so you’re just stating the obvious to try and get ppl to thinking you’re a reliable source. And thinking Marceaux is better than Bergeron…yeah you’re really showing your biases and lack of knowledge with the team lol
