The average temperature in Dallas on September 2nd is 93 degrees.

According to AccuWeather, average high temp in Baton Rouge is 91 with more humidity.

Both teams will likely be conditioned to play in the heat regardless of location.

SMU is NOT gonna give up their advantage by playing a home game in Arlington.

They would’ve already announced that it’s ATT if this were the case. It’s going to be on campus.

At least spend some time walking around whatever stadium it’s at and appreciate the SMU talent

Good series, glad they come here first, which has always seemed an impossibility to negotiate, for whatever reason.

But, for the love of God, schedule these games in Week 2. Quit scheduling teams with a pulse for the opener.

Yeah and those early September games in Baton Rouge suck. I’m talking about the conditions for the fans not the players.

frick Jerry world. If it’s too hot for yall in September stay your asses at home. BR is not much different temperature wise.

frick SMU’s stadium. If it’s too far of a drive from Dallas for you then stay your arse at home.

Well frick, if we’re doing this shite, no reason we shouldn’t play Tulane home-and-home with the Superdome as their home venue. Or … if we’re playing in SMU’s tiny stadium, then we’re not too good to play at Yulman.

The devil is in the financial details on this one. Hopefully LSU is expecting more than just a 50/50 split of revenues on this one. Given SMU’s desire to establish their bona fides, I could see them giving LSU a plum deal to make this happen.

I guess this means they will have their best two years in a century in ‘28 and ‘29

Guess we should move all home games in September to the Superdome.

Our fans hate neutral sites. They hate on campus games. They hate cupcake games. They hate losing season openers. Hell what don’t you frickers hate?

On campus, 80% of the fans would be SMU fans.

So 25,000 fans?

Money talks and everything else walks. SMU is not getting any media revenue from the ACC until like 2033 or something.

Why do you people want an outdoor game in a 32,000 seat stadium when you could have a indoor game in a 70,000 plus seat stadium?

The players/staff are the only ones that matter in this equation. It’s not LSU’s responsibility to baby sit a bunch of dumbasses who start drinking at 8 am when the high is 95.

The only thing these schools could do if they truly cared about the fans safety here is not sell alcohol or soda in the stadium. Only water and Gatorade. Give out free water bottled at the gates. 2 per person. That way when idiots pass out you can’t say you didn’t do everything you could to prevent it. Nobody forced an obese person to pound bud lites all day while eating salty tailgate snack foods then physically walk a mile+ to the stadium and up the inclined ramps/stairs.

Same and Jerryworld is great. People who hate domes and NFL stadiums are lame.

2013 was nice. 2011 vs Oregon and 2018 vs Miami were both around 100 and miserable

I think you are confused about what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about the safety of plays, fans, or staff. Having this game would be more enjoyable for fans and players imo.

I want home/home games to be what they are. Guess we should play Michigan at Ford Field or Notre Dame at Soldier Field.
