I feel bad the players might see it as not supporting them when that is clearly not the case. I believe most fans have been showing up solely as a show of support for the players, but the coach and admins see full stadium for them.

You all are pathetic. Seeing Tiger Stadium and campus empty does nothing but make me sad. Best fans in America my arse. We should all be ashamed of ourselves.

Did you not read what the poster above you said? The people usually there LOST their RV's in the flood. What exactly should they be ashamed of? A natural disaster destroying their stuff? Its a fricking football game, man.

And others have said they were also loaning their RV's out to people who lost their homes....yeah they should be ASHAMED for giving to others who don't have....

Yeah, they all flooded and the others were donated.

Man, no one really bought in on that. Best fans for a big game environment, sure. But week in and week out... . GTFO.

Damn folks!!! Do you not realize almost everyone in our area who owns an RV is either living in it or they have loaned it to relatives or friends who are now living in it?
I don't think it has anything to do with hugely disappointing effort of last week. Those rolling party pads are being used elsewhere.

I'm a student. When I left campus around 3 pm today, there were pretty much no RVs in sight and almost no early tailgaters in the Nicholson lot where most student commuters like me park.

In my 3 years at LSU, this is BY FAR the least amount of traffic I've seen the day before a home game, any home game. Campus had barely any traffic today. Even games against FCS opponents usually draw way more RVs on Friday.

I'll be surprised if there's 80K in the stands tomorrow. Excitement for this team is pretty nonexistent after Saturday's embarrassing performance. LSU losing lots of money is the only way we can voice our desire for change, unfortunately. Money talks.

Seriously? $8,000,000 each home game? Not doubting just stunned at the figure
That's what I learned in 2010. Of course that's been six years, but I can't imagine the figure has changed too drastically.

Here's a great article containing some figures that relate to the topic. It's mind boggling how much the athletic department impacts the Baton Rouge economy.
