He's up there with Ja'Marr Chase in every mock/prospect ranking, so if you think Ja'Marr is as good as CeeDee (I do) then he's in that ballpark too.

You think Clemson's 2nd best WR, who has Trevor Lawrence throwing to him, aided by one of the best best RBs in the country, along with playing in the weakest P5 conference, who isn't top 30 in ANY category for WRs is on the same level as the Biletnikoff winner?

I am all for exploring every avenue, but this is really hard for me to see where you're coming from. I don't care about his mock rating. Trevor Lawrence would likely be mocked above Burrow if he was coming out this year, but that doesn't change what I've seen from both of them this year.

There are mocks for 2021 out and they all have ross in the first round. Some have Chase higher some have ross higher.

Ok dude... So you think that Ross is better.... or hell even as good as Chase. Not one of the talking heads in sports believes this. Stop trying to pull yourself out of this one. Ross is only being looked at because of measurables. Not production. Which he doesnt have this year. We have 3 that are better than him. Hell I would go as far as saying Racey is as well. They have one receiver Higgins, that will be covered. The run will be concentrated on and stopped and Clemson will have a longgggg day at the office. Sorry but it is the truth. LSU is not OSU. We are not making mistakes with a hobbled quarterback.

He is going to be a high first round pick. He is very talented. That is all I am saying.

Yep, then OSU scored 7 points on their last 8 drives.
After the 16-0 lead:

I hate to play the ref card, but that was a catch/fumble- scoop and score, and it changed the whole game. The Buckeyes got the Saints treatment- bad call kept them from advancing to the championship game.

Joe Burrow is a very unique playmaker who can run it when he needs to and scramble around a la Johnny Manziel, but anyone who calls him a pure rushing threat is an idiot and a half. Joe isn’t a rushing QB and neither is Lawrence, and Lawrence isn’t 1/10 of the playmaker that Burrow is. Burrow’s exact rushing stats are irrelevant for 99.9999% of college QB’s, using someone like Burrow to prove a point is stupid.

He can make plays with his legs. He did that against OSU and he’s done it a good bit this year.

He is not as good of a scrambler as Burrow. Watch him and watch Burrow move the pocket. I'm not gonna comment on how he translates to the NFL and their ceilings, because I don't know what I'm talking about there. But right now, as of December 2019, Joe Burrow is more lethal on the ground than Trevor Lawrence.

Imagine putting Chase in the backfield as a running back or Another prototypical fast receiver!!
I know LSU did it once last game; maybe this will be a new wrinkle for the upcoming game!

There’s really no point in debating who’s a better rusher. I simply said he is capable of it and we shouldn’t discount the rushing yards like one poster was trying to do

Yep around a 50 percent passer all year and has thrown for more than one interception in multiple games this year. But you know typical Rant lets ride the dick of whoever we play next rather than see what is in front of us which happens to be the best team in College football history in LSU and cheer for our team lmao.

What about when Joe Burrow converts third downs rushing, or when he gets rushing touchdowns? Do those count?

Actually, most of Burrow's runs are when no one is open and he takes off running. 41%+ of the times he does that results in a first down. Leads the country in that stat. Sooo, i Joe Burrow's case, that is his MO and he does it quite well. Its not like its a once in a blue moon thing. He does it enough to the point you can count it as the norm. Fluke plays imo do not count and shouldn't be counted when trying to make it a positive considering its a rare occurrence.

CU fan here. I think Ross last year in the CFP was a #1 pick, but he has had a severe soph slump IMO. The guy is not half the receiver this year. He has been banged up a lot this year and may have something to do with it, but this years Ross is not one of the top receivers in the country.

Appreciate your opinion. I think Higgins is much better. But I truly believe that neither one will play a factor in this game. This isnt the ACC out there defending them. This is DBU. Stop the run on Clemson and make them pass and it is a long arse day for Clemson.

He’s really not though. Hurts had a great season and Lawrence finished 16th in yardage, 5th in TD’s, and 61st in INT’s. Hurts had the better season overall against much better competition

Hurts is an athlete at the quarterback position while Lawrence is a quarterback who is athletic. There's a big difference. Lawrence is much more accurate. Lawrence has a great running back to keep defenses honest.

Hurts was a turnover machine.

Hurts will be a day 2 or 3 pick while Lawrence would be drafted in the first round this year.

Their schedule may have been soft, but it seems that Clemson just beat a really good team from Ohio and might just be legit themselves.

I agree with OP.

Clemson is an obviously flawed team. tOSU ran up and down the field on them, and smothered them on defense.

Then a really good defensive player got ejected, on a 3rd down stop.

Then as their little bowling ball RB was chugging down the field for his second huge TD run he got punched in the calf and was not the same the rest of the game.

Then they had a bad call on the scoop n score.

Clemson played one good team and got run off the field.
