Should we be concerned teams like coastal carolina, ucla , North Carolina, Clemson, and Oregon State are now ahead of us?

Wasn’t that some of the teams we were supposed to be worried about catching LSU for top 8?

We'll be a top 8 seed and rpi doesn’t matter.

RPI is dumb af. UCLA is ahead of us now and they have played a soft big ten schedule with no quality series wins

It's dumb. It's an outdated system which is why the committee doesn't use it as the sole reason to seed.

We’ll see on Monday.

They likely will get the seed, but you’re burying your head if you think a 12 RPI isn’t a concern.

If lsu doesn’t get a national seed it’s time to join a lesser conference since playoff participation would be way easier

There's absolutely nobody on that committee going to look at teams like UCLA who have a higher RPI based on an archaic system and say their body of work looks better than LSU. That can apply to a lot of the higher RPI teams ahead of LSU. They're penalizing LSU for playing in the premiere conference where almost everyone is good. Who does UCLA play? Look at the quality wins. It's not happening. They've never done it with what LSU has done and they're not going to do it against an SEC team that will draw more money anyway. It's not even in the conversation and you're running through mental gymnastics if you think it is a concern.

I still don't understand how in the past years that the committee has said that RPI is a minor factor because it punishes teams for playing midweek games but this year all you hear is "RPI RPI RPI!"
