Will is not even under investigation. This fricking retarded. "Offer" could literally means thousands of things. Why are we so intent on fricking ourselves??

everything that’s been said by Will and his folks
What kind of an attorney writes this way?

The NCAA has requested to be a part of all interviews on this matter, #LSU says, and the words "institutional control" are key in the decision to suspend Wade. NCAA enforcement is on the ground here
You tell the NCAA ‘Thanks, but we got this.’ and meet w/o their involvement. If you need reference, please refer to the Miami/Shapiro fiasco

He should just resign today. I hate it, but LSU doesn't deserve his loyalty. Thanks, coach. Good luck in your future endeavors.

A quick pan over to the LSU admin right now:

And leave $9MM on the table, are you nuts?

because we made this a circus and invited them in. Where are the NCAA boots on the ground at the other schools involved in this?

We have no choice, in terms of institutional control
The NCAA blue bloods of basketball have stepped in and ended it.
Eta. Behind the scenes and politically. Maybe as part of this deal some other issue gets overlooked.

What if they, as an organization, are at the heart of or at least a central player, in what is being investigated?

When can someone investigate the NCAA for "institutional control?"
Long overdue.
Long overdue.

Tactically, as an employer, you would want to know the answers to the questions before dealing with a regulatory body. The answers then determine your posture in dealing with the regulatory agency.
To drag your employee into a meeting with a regulatory body present and where everyone hears it for the first time leads me to believe that the administration has already prejudged the outcome and is trying to firewall the connection between LSU and Wade. This tells me he is likely done.

All LSU had to do was wait the news cycle out.
This is as bad as it gets.
The alternative to let it play out like Auburn was the obvious correct move our clowns didn't make. Now you're going against your own coach in a media circus...an absolute frenzy

at our dumbass administration thinking anything they do (if Wade is guilty) will make the NCAA not go in dry on us. I can't fathom the stupidity of these people in charge.
Mizzou baseball lost their postseason this year because one player 4 years ago had a tutor complete an assignment for him without asking her to. Mizzou fired the person as soon as they found out and completely cooperated with the NCAA. The tutor was found to be pretty much a fraud looking to extort the university.
And the NCAA fricking hammered them.
