If SW chooses to fire Wade because he “can”, I will lose all faith in the LSU commitment to LSU basketball.

My season ticket account doesn't go back as far as yours, but mine would not be renewed if he let's Wade go for anything less than a show cause.
He has this program in a great place (with consistent success), despite the obstacles (some of which he brought on himself).
Firing him would absolutely set the program back for a long time.

Where is Draconian Sanctions? His name is relevant again.

I let my tickets go JJ’s last season once it was apparent he would not be let go. That was a complete abomination.

Considering Will Wade's the best coach this program's had in over a decade, I say we fight it to the death. This isn't like Coach O's last years here, this is an up and coming contending program annually.

If SW fires WW the chances of LSU basketball being cellar dwellers in the SEC for the next 10 years is extremely high.

I find it rather odd literally no one else in sports media is reporting this presently, I mean this is an NOA according to Forde's article which SI let publish. Would figure Wolken, Wetzel, and the other Blue Blood Guardians would be all over this.

Every year right before March Madness. Many of on this board predicted this several months ago. I think we are going on year three of Pat Forde rehashed allegations
Someone want to look this up?

The key word in that contract is “can”. They can fire him but aren’t obligated to do so.
True, but they restructured the contract to include that language. Why insist adding that language to only have a cavalier attitude towards the notice?
That said, it was Alleva that had that language added - SW may not see things the same as Alleva did.

I mentioned that earlier in the thread, no other news outlet is picking this up. Would hope SI would have higher standards than Yahoo, but who knows when it comes to Forde's hatred of LSU.
No mention on ESPN, CBSSports, etc.

Brody miller and wilson alexander have confirmed it

Because Alleva was a spineless bitch.

I think Woodward is smart enough to realize his fan base wants to keep the coach and if he fires him and doesn’t hire someone that equals his success it’ll be a sore spot on his resume.

This is like our 10th time getting a notice of allegations

Athletic and Nola.com reporting the same.

The fact that SW didn't hire him might be his biggest weakness through this ordeal. We'll find out in the coming weeks.

Hopefully SW fights for WW and realizes he is our best option as HC

Forde is easily top 5 on the “people you’d love to sucker punch” list

What's the NCAA going to do? They cleared Smart to play in the wake of this 3 years ago (can't stress the time and time passing enough) and his mother still lived in the Scotlandville house she always lived in. All they have are wiretaps of people talking without any paper trail or tangible proof at all. I guess suspend Wade a couple of games or put the team on some feckless probation for next year? Cmon, LSU should fight this tooth and nail and, if something happens, pull a Tarkanian and sue the NCAA all the way to the Supreme Court. At the very worst, some slap on the hand punishment considering how small and unsupported this all is.

Wade was caught on FBI wiretaps with aspiring agent Christian Dawkins discussing a “strong-arse offer” for prospect Javonte Smart
This is speculation. It's not been proven that he was referring to Smart.
