Is this not the exact same timing as several years ago?

But for some reason Woody seems dead set on bringing in "his" guy and appears to be in fact looking for a reason to get rid of Wade.

This gets repeated all the time on here, has Scott come out and said that?

Same people who told me in the summer of 2020 that O should not be comfortable are telling me this on Wade. Don't claim to have any insider info, but the stuff on O was accurate.

Orgeron had 2 shite seasons after the title game in addition to Title 9 and NCAA cloud. Wade hasn't missed the tourney since his first year. The situations aren't really close.

I don’t know if he will immediately be terminated, but I guarantee he will not be renewed. Woodward has been disenchanted with this whole “strong arse offer” thing.

I personally agree. But for some reason Woody seems dead set on bringing in "his" guy and appears to be in fact looking for a reason to get rid of Wade. ETA. Woody is also going to use this as an excuse not to extend Wade, which puts him a very tough position of recruiting while in the last year of his contract.

Wade is not a bad coach and he has met expectations here.

But he is not near good enough for Scott Woodward to fall on his sword for and defend to the end.

Woodward likes to bring in his own guy anyway.

Never admit to this and fight them to the death, NCAA will take you down if you aren’t a blue blood and admit to it as has been proven for decades

Also, don't forget Woody's stepson is married to Emmert's daughter and Woody/Emmert are tight.

I'm not arguing with you at all. I think getting rid of Wade is insane, I'm just relaying what I've heard.

Wade has us on a similar path as Tony Bennett at UVA and Jay Wright at Nova.

Also when we are about to be in the ncaa tourney, so we are more visible to the refs, fantastic

I'm not one to cry "bias" at every slight. In fact, I almost never do that. But if you don't think there isn't some bias, at least from other school's SID and/or coaches, go take a look at this week's Coaches poll.

Texas is ranked number 22...despite the fact they have the EXACT SAME RECORD as LSU. Well Texas has a bunch of great wins, right? Not really. LSU has more Q1 wins. But they had a great week last week, right? They went 0-2.

Ohio St. is ranked number 25...despite LSU having a better record. Well, of course, OSU has more good wins? Wrong. They only have 5 Q1 wins. LSU has 6. But OSU is on a roll, right? They've lost 3 of their last 4. Two of which were to teams with losing records (Maryland and Nebraska).

Okay, but that means LSU is just outside of the top 25, right? Nope. LSU received three (3) votes. THREE! Seven less than the Wake Forest team they beat by 14 points.

Is this a joke? What source does he have in the LSU athletic department?

EXACTLY.

Ed Orgeron is no longer the coach because led LSU to the worst two year winning % in 20 years, with no end in sight. Not because of Title 9 stuff. If Ed were 20-2 over the last two years instead of 11-11 he'd still be the HC at LSU.

If you play ball with the NCAA you get your program gutted

If you tell them to frick off they will write a very strongly worded letter and take scholarships away from a CUSA school

Tough choice

Go back to the beginning when Woody was hired and all this garbage came out. Woody went to papa in law, Wade took a monetary slap on the wrist and then was retained. Nothing new has happened or come out, Forde is doing what he always does. Internally and with the NCAA top dogs this has been handled already. The media only has the power to get people talking and that’s what this is.

Again, I'm not comparing these two situations. I am relaying that the people who told me O's days were numbered are now telling me Wade is in the same boat. And I'm not talking about the keyboard badasses on this site.

I think it would be a huge mistake and one Woody will regret if he uses this to get rid of Wade. But that appears to be what he intends to do from everything I've heard. I really hope that information is wrong.
