By my estimation LSU brings in about $55 million a year. What happens to the rest of the money?

Auburn's total doesn't include payroll. They're pushing for the #1 spot if you include player payroll, for sure.

I think LSU football brings in a good bit more than you are estimating.... I don't have LSU's numbers ... but the article included Florida's and I don't think LSU is dramatically different... which $13 million is...

At Florida, football spent $24.4 million and brought in $68.7 million for a net profit of $44.2 million. The program will give $6 million to the university in the 2010-11 fiscal year to bring the total to $61.1 million since 1990."

Bama is spending 31.

LSU 25.

That's 6 million we could spend on an OC.

....And we beat their arse.... so, we got a bargin... now - we COULD use a new OC... but give it time... we'll see what happens... 3 possibilities

1. GC moves on after bowl
2. GC returns and with better line and new QB improves Offensive production
3. GC returns and doesn't improve... gets canned during/after 2011.
