Why not give max some first team snaps. If Brennan gets hurt again, that just means max is more seasoned and has even more chemistry with the starters

Max’s behavior in the pocket is way better than Brennan’s. Even if you watch only highlights of the two, it jumps out at you

Johnson 1st team, Nuss 2nd team...it is what it is! I love Myles Brennan, but he will not see the field in 2021.

Max has the confidence and leadership you like to see in a QB, esp. as a true freshman last year. Frankly, I don't see that in Myles as much as I would like, particularly considering his experience.

Max has some of the Burrow factor.

Max is talented in his own right. But if any of these QBs has some Burrow in him, it's Nuss.

He's just making Myles earn it. It's better this way.

A freshman was playing as well as a 4th year guy.

Why does this board dump on Max so much?

Myles was very good at the time he got hurt. With no blocking, running game, or d he was single handedly keeping LSU somewhat competitive.

Way too early to make that call. The rotation will change. There will be opportunities for all of them to take 1rst team snaps. That is what spring practice is for. They’ll all get looks. In the end it’ll be who can repeat and execute the most consistently. Or at least that is what the analysis should be. Have you ever watched a spring game and thought “they are surely not going to play that way in the fall”. And they don’t.

I am rooting for whomever takes the snap but have to point out that our offense looked beyond awful against a&m but then things started clicking a bit and we had 24 first downs vs Florida on the road. All have strengths -who can be consistent and protect the ball?

Brennan gone

That's sad if true. Last year he was on a torrid, record-setting pace for LSU through 3 games: 79 out of 131 for 1,112 yards and 11 TDs. This was in spite of the fact that he no doubt played most of the Missouri game in excruciating pain.

I have wanted to see Brennan succeed for the Tigers for 4-5 years, and still believe it can happen.

Max has that footwork and escape ability that gives a defense fits. Also throws a very catchable ball, accurate and good touch.

Burrow was damn tough, don't know if I want to see Max taking too many shots like Joe did, but Max does have that extra something to his game like Burrow.

Johnson > Brennan

If you consider the class differences, freshman vs junior, in evaluating performance that is a true statement.

An embarrassment of riches at the QB position.

May I propose we change to NFL rules and trade a couple of them for one stud LT and one 5-star TE?

Of course we trade with teams outside of SEC.

How 'bout it?

If it’s a SirWinston post, there’s a 100% chance there’s an underlying political element. Whether legitimate or a troll, you be the judge.
